* TearJerker: The comic released on 5th July 2021, [[https://twitter.com/milkmochabear/status/1412075741764755460 made to reflect the COVID-19 impact in Indonesia]], is uncharacteristically sad for the series. It depicts Mocha glued to news of rising cases, news of people dying, and culminates in Milk coming in while reading to tell them their neighbour had died. Upon hearing this, the brown bear just buries themselves under a blanket, very visibly overwhelmed. The artists/writers said they just couldn't bring themselves to make a cute comic that week.

** Matcha's entire introduction:
*** We don't know much about his owner, but he seemed fond of them until they left him in the park as an AbandonedPetInABox. When Milk comes across him, he mistakes them for said owner and bites them. This is sad enough, as Milk is understandably disheartened and Mocha takes them away...
*** Some time passes, as Matcha thinks about the owner abandoning him with a happy flashback to being held in their arms. He realises his mistake in biting Milk and scaring the bears off... just in time for it to start raining, at which point he starts ''bawling''.
*** This then turns around into a sweet - if still sad - tear-jerker when Milk, in spite of being bitten, comes back with an umbrella. They try to pull him away from the now-soaking box, but he clings onto it out of some stubborn belief of security. At this, Milk props the umbrella up and just sits with him, waiting for the storm to weather. Thankfully, from here, it goes into fully happy tears when Mocha finds the two, they go home and Matcha dries out on some towels, smiling peacefully.

** Owing to the (mostly) now-missing comic which showed Mocha and Milk meeting for the first time (which is now [[SchrodingersCanon debatably canon]]), a number of fans still believe the duo met in the forest.

* LGBTFanbase: The creators have gone on record to state that they do ''not'' want to identify either Milk or Mocha as male or female, as this allows people to interpret the comic however they want. This has led to a lot of LGBT+ fans for the comic.

** It's never ''explicitly'' been confirmed Mocha is mute, just heavily implied. Nevertheless, fans have taken this theory to explain why they never speak at all, even around Milk.

* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: It's plenty popular in Indonesia - where the creators are from - but the comic has gotten particularly popular in the United States of America and India, as well as other countries.
