General clarification on works content

Added DiffLines:

** It in fact originates from the episode's original "Today, on ''Power Rangers''..." segment, in which the announcer says "[Rita] also sends the mighty Minotaur to defeat our heroes!" Although it's still vague as to whether or not the monster's name is in fact "the Mighty Minotaur" or if the announcer is simply calling the Minotaur mighty.

!!The Minotaur

[[folder:Madame Woe]]
* RetroactiveRecognition: Creator/AlexBorstein, future star of ''[[Series/MadTV1995 MADtv]]'' and ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'', provided the voice of Madame Woe. Within the franchise itself, she'd later go on to be the voice of Queen Machina in ''Series/PowerRangersZeo''.

* FanNickname: This monster is quite commonly known as "Mighty Minotaur," but that name is never actually spoken in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS1EP3Teamwork Teamwork]]" by any character at any point, not even in a way that would be understandably misinterpreted, such as [[Characters/MightyMorphinPowerRangersVillains Finster]] saying "I am creating a mighty Minotaur monster." The closest we get to that is [[Characters/MightyMorphinPowerRangersRangers Billy]] calling the monster "a most menacing minotaur" when seeing the beast on the Viewing Globe. Nor is he called Mighty Minotaur on the package of his Bandai figure (similar to how other Bandai figures called Snizard "Snizard Lips" or the Two-Headed Parrot "Pete & Repeat"). Thus, all evidence points to "Mighty Minotaur" being a fan name, although it's a complete mystery as to where it originated.

!! Season One Monsters

[[folder:In General]]
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Multiple monsters from throughout the season became highly popular with fans for various reasons, usually due to their designs, their powers, their personality, and how well of a fight they'd put up against the Rangers. As a result, many of them would be brought back by [[Characters/MightyMorphinPowerRangersVillains Rita and Zedd]] for a second round against them.
** Out of the monsters originating from ''[[Series/KyoryuSentaiZyuranger Zyuranger]]'', Pudgy Pig is probably not only the most popular monster of the first season, but also ''[[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers MMPR]]'' in general, and quite possibly the entire franchise. His crazy "giant pig head in a gladiator helmet" design ultimately made him the quintessential example of a ''Power Rangers'' monster. He's also the only ''MMPR'' monster to serve as the main threat of the episode in his return appearance, instead of just being part of a group.
** Eye Guy and Snizard also became quite popular and made several return appearances all the way up until "[[Recap/PowerRangersInSpaceS1E42CountdownToDestructionPart1 Countdown to Destruction]]," often alongside each other.
** Many of the ''MMPR'' exclusive monsters hailing from the ''[=Zyu2=]'' footage became this. Grumble Bee, Socadillo, Rhino Blaster, Pumpkin Rapper, Lizzinator, Slippery Shark, Peckster, Fighting Flea, Goo Fish, Oysterizer, Mantis, Dramole, and Commander Crayfish would all make return appearances, some of them multiple times, some even making it up to "Countdown to Destruction."
* There are also a few monsters that would become quite popular despite only having one appearance to their name.
** The biggest of these is probably King Sphinx, due to his status as an AdvertisedExtra that was all over the merchandise for the first season of the show. His solid design and tag-teaming the [[Characters/MightyMorphinPowerRangersRangers Megazord]] with [[Characters/MightyMorphinPowerRangersVillains Goldar]] also made him quite memorable. Really, the only reason he never made a return appearance after "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS1EP4APressingEngagement A Pressing Engagement]]" was because his suit had fallen apart between ''Zyuranger'' and ''MMPR''.
** Terror Toad became quite memorable among fans due to the NightmareFuel way he would [[EatenAlive devour the Rangers alive]].
** Shellshock is another monster like Pudgy Pig that became popular due to the sheer absurdity of his design and LethalJokeCharacter status.
