* Main/Nintendo Hard: Hard mode. Not only do you take triple damage, but in both Zebeth and Novus, you only get 50 health from each energy tank, and Missile Tanks only grant 2 missiles each. Enigma thankfully keeps the tanks at the original rate, but some of the rooms that spawn can be a hard challenge, especially those tagged with the [=TGIF=] tag.

* GoodBadBugs: By collecting the Screw Attack without collecting any other major itemsBasically any item that isn't a Missile Extension or Energy Tank. via Zebeth or Novus' item randomizer modes, it's possible to obtain the normally DummiedOut Space Jump. It functions like it normally does, giving Samus infinite jumps.

* ThatOneBoss: in Novus can be a pain, especially to newcomers. He deals a lot of damage (especially without the Varia suit), shoots fireballs that require climbing the sides of the room to avoid, and grinds the player down the walls of his room if they happen to spam missiles against him. They even do the latter when he's at low enough health too, potentially causing a death if the player doesn't have enough health from earlier in the fight.
