Being review bombed on Steam isn't the same thing as the game suddenly being hated. The gameplay is still universally liked and nothing in Max0r's review contradicts that. Plus the situation is still currently unfolding

* HarsherInHindsight: Could be HilariousInHindsight depending on your sense of humor, but [=Max0r's=] generally very positive review of ''VideoGame/Helldivers2'' came out just a couple weeks before the games' staff announced that, per Sony mandate, a Playstation Network account would be required to play the game on Steam (thereby soft-banning any players in regions where PSN isn't available), a '''''massively''''' unpopular decision that effectively torpedoed the game's reputation and caused the review consensus to shift from overwhelmingly positive to mostly negative practically overnight.

* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: A both in and mildly out of universe example arising from him trying to tackle a game with [[EmergentGameplay a narrative unfolding day by day]]. [=Max0r=]'s ''VideoGame/HelldiversII'' review has a lengthy section talking about [[MemeticMutation the constant struggle Super Earth's forces were making]] for [[ThatOneLevel Malevelon Creek]] which was likely contemporary while he was making it, but by the time the review actually came out not only had Malevelon Creek been liberated for almost two weeks, but the entire Automaton Front had shifted out of the Severin Sector and into the Valdis sector as the Automatons began their Reclamation offensive. Lampshaded by Max where he claims that he started making the video before the Patriot Exosuit was even introduced.

** [=Max0r=]'s "An Incorrect Summary of Ace Combat 7" induced a major one within the ''Ace Combat'' fandom, with many getting tired of the video's original memes getting overused by everyone and their moms in nearly every forum topic. It's to the point that the associated [[Website/{{Reddit}} subreddit]], [=/r/acecombat=], considers overused [=Max0r=] jokes to be just as obnoxious as [=r/NonCredibleDefense=] (a subreddit for military-themed shitposting).
** There's a major split in the fanbase over how [=Max0r=]'s editing style has evolved from fast-paced but easily-comprehensible gags to RapidFireComedy with numerous FreezeFrameBonus jokes. One side agrees with Max that this adds greatly enhanced humor and plenty of rewatchability, while the other side feels the speed prevents the jokes from landing well and prefer it when each joke had a few seconds to set in.

Making an Awesome page

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMoments:
** ''Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance'' has [=Max0r=] ''really'' step up his editing game just to highlight how ''awesome'' the bosses are, ending each summary of the boss fights with a montage timed to their theme music.
** This trend continues into ''Elden Ring'', with all the Demigod bosses getting their own dedicated title cards and dynamic intros:
*** ''Part 1'' brings us Radahn, as both phases of his fight have absolutely no jokes inserted into his BossSubtitles and are punctuated by [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic Hikari]] from ''VideoGame/PunishingGrayRaven''.
*** ''Part 2'' has several, giving Morgott a respectful showing with ''both'' of his titles intact and more ''Punishing Gray Raven'' music, specifically ''Structures'' and ''Last Resort''. Then Rykard's presentation gets played straight as well, with the God-Devouring Serpent being presented as [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast "Eiglay, Serpent of the First Sin"]], and Rykard himself is basically presented as an EldritchAbomination, to the tune of ''"Operation Pyrite"'' from ''{{VideoGame/Arknights}}''.
*** ''Part 3'' is no slouch, between the marked increase in his editing quality and the scale of it all, though Melatonin's final monologue serves as a dramatic (if hilarious) CMOA and the fight against Maliketh can best be summed up by one sentence when he reveals his true power;
----> '''Maliketh''': [[PreAssKickingOneLiner I am going to]] ''[[PrecisionFStrike fucking]]'' [[ThisIsGoingToSuck skin you alive.]]
** ''ULTRAKILL'' is a game with comparable speed and spectacle to [=Max0r's=] own editing, so of course it'll have several awesome scenarios:
*** The fight with [[MirrorBoss V2]] gives the normally silent opposing robot a haughty personality, courtesy of Wes's voice acting. This high-octane fight is made even more manic with [=Max0r's=] editing, additional BossBanter, and the cherry on top is that it's backed by "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe3h62MrlPE Second Warning]]" from ''VideoGame/LobotomyCorporation''.
*** He ''gushes'' about the fact that you can PunchParry the gigantic fists of King Minos's Corpse, calling it the [[VideoGame/GenshinImpact coolest thing you can do]] in [[VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance a video game]]. For the fight, he uses "[[https://youtu.be/SN9NxXcEQKU Library of Omen]]" from ''VideoGame/BlueArchive''.
*** In an example of SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct, Max's acting in the scene at the end depicting [[spoiler:the Council punishing Gabriel for his failure]], which wasn't voiced in-game. Barring a part of a single line ([[spoiler:"losing to a fucking camera"]], which even then might still actually work for the arrogant and dogmatic [[spoiler:Council]]), the whole scene is good enough to work as the closest thing to a canonical depiction of that scene.
*** The increased intensity of V2's second [[spoiler:and final]] fight is added to by characterizing V2 as having undergone a serious VillainousBreakdown after losing his arm. Wes manages to go from being cocky to being ''frothing'' with rage effortlessly. Following from the previous fight, this one is also backed by some truly awesome music, this time being ''[[https://youtu.be/UkAz5YFw_x8?si=deWPoRJKiH5suOtn Receive You The Hyperactive]]'' from ''VideoGame/YakuzaLikeADragon''.
----> '''V2:''' How's about this for a trade? I beat you to a ''fucking pulp''. ''And you give me my arm back.''
** ''Genshin Impact is a Playable Anime'' has him really pull out his editing chops for the various intermission segments, as he essentially creates short [=GMVs=] out of videos and gameplay to represent each nation, and all of them are ''amazingly'' blended together and synced to the music.
** One of the people who's discovered him is WebAnimation/{{Hololive}}'s Pebble Princess, Koseki Bijou, who recites the "Vergil hiring Vergil's brother and Vergil's son" meme, showing she watched his ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry5'' episode after finishing the game, even wanting her senpai Tsunomaki Watame to someday collab with [=Max0r=].

** In part 1 of his ''VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance'' episode, he has Raiden deal with the trauma of finding the child brains by ''VideoGame/{{Fortnite}}'' dancing out of the level. In January 2024, ''Metal Gear'' is added into ''Fortnite'' with players able to buy skins based on Solid Snake and Raiden.

* NightmareFuel:
** The [[WhamEpisode infamous conclusion]] to Mission 12 of ''Ace Combat Zero'' is played completely straight then made even worse by [=Max0r=]'s [[SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct surprisingly chilling]] performance [[spoiler:as Pixy cementing his FaceHeelTurn]].
--->'''[[spoiler:Pixy]]''': I've finally found my reason to fight... And it doesn't involve you anymore, Cipher. (''EvilLaugh'')
** The bombing of Hoffnung is played completely straight, with [=Max0r=] grimly narrating how exactly you help destroy the city and its defenders as the background music slowly changes to [[VideoGame/TheNewOrderLastDaysofEurope Burgundian Lullaby]].
---> "Enemy jets scramble hopelessly to try to defend their friends and family, and you take them out. You hear the sounds of screaming and air sirens, and just like every other target before them, you [[KickTheDog take them out.]] [[RuleOfThree You take them all out,]] [[WhatTheHellPlayer burning everything]] until there is only silence. [[WasItReallyWorthIt Is this worth it?]] [[MeaningfulEcho How many points]] [[YouBastard did you get?]]"
** In another case of SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct, [=Max0r=]'s voicing of [[spoiler:the Council punishing Gabriel for his failure]] in ''ULTRAKILL'' is very, ''very'' unnerving. It's made all the more horrifying by Gabriel's agonized scream afterward, as he is stripped of his divine light. What's worse, Gabriel's pain and screaming is ''canon''.
--->'''[[spoiler:The Council]]''': And then, you will die. A husk. A ''thing.''
*** Gabriel's return to the council and subsequent ''massacre'' is portrayed in a far less calm light than the original version, with Gabriel himself in a terrifying state of LaughingMad that continues as he decapitates the last councilor and presents his severed head to all of Heaven. Unlike in canon, where Gabriel's slaughter of the council was shown as being done for the sake of liberating the citizens of Heaven from their dogmatic rule, here there's little indication of motive beyond ''sheer insanity''. Even more chilling is that choice pieces of the dialogue used are straight from the actual game, the difference that as opposed to unvoiced text it's voiced with himself as the councilor and obviously Gianni having reprised his role as Gabriel... and when Gabriel speaks about his faith and God being dead Gianni portrays him as eerily calm, if a bit resigned, as he speaks. Doubly horrifying considering he's willingly and knowingly signing his own death warrant.
** Wes and her portrayal of V2 are a more self-contained case, characterizing V2 as a boisterous show-off that gets [[VillainousBreakdown terrifyingly angry]] when someone actually matches him and bruises his ego.
---> '''V2''': '''YOU'RE JUST A FUCKING''' '''''NIKON'''''!
** Her performance of V2 in Act 2 is even more horrifying. V2 barely bothers with comedy, starting off furious and working his way up to shrieking in fury.
----> '''V2''': What's the matter, Brother? Does your ''arm hurt?!'' '''''BECAUSE I CAN FIX THAT!!!'''''
** There's also her performance in the ''Resident Evil 4 Remake'' video. Initially Mendez is portrayed by Wes as a jolly Mormon (or as Mendez puts it, latter day saint), but towards the end he ends up LOSING IT, with the earliest hint of it being when he tells Leon to "stop struggling" directly after calling him a kidder. Then once the bridge breaks, Mendez says under his breath that God is testing him, in a tone that highly suggests some TranquilFury behind his words. And then there's the barn, where Mendez has truly [[VillainousBreakdown lost his mind]].
--->'''Father Mendez:''' I have had it up to ''here'' asking for your baptism! As soon as you are saved, Ashley, I am going to teach you exactly WHY God wants you to SHUT-''(gets shot at by Leon)''... I let you stay in ''MY'' sex dungeon, gave you ''MY'' dog, ''vaccinated'' you, and even let this ''[[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain salted harlot]]'' stay in ''MY'' church. So, Leon, forgive me if I think just a ''little'' bit of penance '''''is fucking due!''''' ''(Leon kicks an explosive barrel towards Mendez)'' '''''ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?!'''''
** Following the breakdown, Leon shot the barrel that he kicked towards Mendez, causing it to explode, but much like the previous times he was attacked, Mendez is not bothered by it in the slightest, letting loose an EvilLaugh as he walks out of the fire, now in his OneWingedAngel form and demanding Leon's baptism. As [=Max0r=] puts it, this fight is basically Hell.
** Other than a brief joke about a spider on his hand, Maliketh's boss intro is played ''dead'' serious as he gives a chilling monologue before dropping the pretenses and making it clear he's a complete BloodKnight.
--->'''Maliketh:''' If Destined Death... is truly thy longing... then, ''[[BringIt claim it.]]'' (roars before slamming his sword down and slowly turning his head) ''[[ToThePain I'm going to fucking skin you alive.]]''
