* HilariousInHindsight: One of the major premise of this AU is that in Katarina's orginal world, Creator/HidetakaMiyazaki and Creator/FromSoftware decided to make a dating sim in place of what we would now know as VideoGame/{{Bloodborne}}. A hilarous idea in its own right, due to how far-fetched it sounds, until the release of VideoGame/EldenRing, which features at least 1 romancable character and another implied, with the former even being the main focus of its own ending.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation:
** Estella Almera is shown to be an AxCrazy {{Yandere}} who [[IfICantHaveYou murdered the object of her obsession when he rejected her]] and maintained enough jealousy towards the woman he ''did'' love to try to torture said woman to death more than a decade later. But her family (and the town at large) apparently saw her as normal and Sarah (who is admittedly an extremely UnreliableNarrator) claims that Estella treated her with genuine kindness without any coercion. Most readers interpret these as Estella maintaining a MaskOfSanity, but some see it as her being a mostly normal person with [[JerkassToOne two very specific targets]] of obsessive affection/hatred.
