* WhatAnIdiot:
** Halime, despite being ostensibly the smartest sultana, [[spoiler: trust Safiye when she promises to get her son on the throne. Safiye indeed attempts just that, but not before taking Mustafa from her and trying to kill Halime herself. In addition, the whole plan doesn't even work, and Mustafa is locked up and isolated from his mother.]]
** Safiye horribly underestimates Kösem when she [[spoiler: kills her father, despite not needing to. Kösem swears revenge and eventually destroys her.]]
** Kösem [[spoiler: stages an uprising in Istanbul in order to dethrone Osman. She is then surprised when said uprising not only dethrones him, but also costs him his life. Mind you, Kösem has no way of controlling the mob once the whole thing starts and it's hard to predict how far can their rage lead them, so his death was always a real possibility.]]
** Ayşe betrays Farya, Murat's personal guest and an important political tool, to Murat's enemies, just because she is jealous of sultan's apparent affection for her. She is then surprised when both Kösem and Murat are angry at her for her thoughtless meddling in political affairs.
** Atike's pursuit of Silahdar. He never so much as gives her a hint that he might love her back, and yet she is impossible to convince otherwise.
