* FoeYay: The setting is based around the Twilight Sparkle X [[MadGod Discord]] ship, and was so even before Discord made a ''sincere'' HeelFaceTurn in "Twilight's Kingdom", and even then, their canon relationship remains [[SitcomArchNemesis more or less antagonistic]]. Other canon character examples include Rainbow Dash X [[TheBully Dumbbell]] and Celestia X [[GodSaveUsFromTheQueen Chrysalis]] (the latter insists it's "purely ''political''", [[BadLiar and nothing more]]).
** In the backstory, there was Bruce with Pandora. They deeply and genuinely loathe each other, but had a brief relationship way back when. They hook up and have a kid in the Makoverse timeline. It... didn't work out very well.

* InformedWrongness: Moondancer is painted as being in the wrong for ending his friendship with Pandora and Cupcake and Pandora lectures him on how his quest for magic is pointless because it doesn't make him happy, but it's hard to argue that Pandora wasn't exactly a brilliant friend to Moondancer, since she constantly patronised and teased him and would always rub his face in it when she inevitably beat him at magic. Plus, Moondancer isn't wrong when he says that eventually people have to grow up.
* StrangledByTheRedString:
** Chakra Blossom/Nocturnus go from a casual bar hookup to an actual canon relationship over a short span of time, to the point Nocturnus is apparently fine with introducing a guy he knows to be a sleazy asshole to his paraplegic pre-schooler-aged daughter without much build-up inbetween. Lopoddity herself has acknowledged this and mentioned more of their relationship will be explored in the future.
** Skyla/Peachy Keen. For a relationship that's meant to be one of the Pandoraverse's OTPs, there's been very little content for it since Peachy was revealed to be Skyla's secret crush. It makes you wonder why Skyla was so devastated over some random farmpony she met once and apparently all it takes for her to get over her hangovers is one insensitive peptalk from Jamboree.

* FriendlyFandoms: With Creator/{{Kilala97}}, crossover art is common and their "ponysonas" are often {{shipp|ing}}ed. Helps that Kilala and Lopoddity are an item in real life.
* HilariousInHindsight: Despite some very strong character similarities, Cupcake was designed before [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS4E18MaudPie Maud Pie]] aired.
* JerkassWoobie: Pandora received a lot of bullying growing up and [[WeUsedToBeFriends fell out with her cousin Skyla]] due to her appearance and nature. Proof that Pandora UsedToBeASweetKid is that [[BullyingADragon the bullies got away (relatively) unscathed]]. She worked hard to suppress her chaotic nature and become an ideal princess her mother Twilight Sparkle wanted, only to be laughed at and ridiculed at her coronation. Finally breaking under all this, [[OnlyFriend Cupcake]] connvinced her to BeYourself and [[ThenLetMeBeEvil she's been the Princess of Chaos ever since]], [[SarcasmMode no regrets, right]]? Actually, her entire arrogant, jerkish personality [[JerkassFacade covers up]] self loathing and viewing herself as a disappointment for failing to live up to her mother.
** However, most of this has been retconned by Lopoddity, since she pointed out it wouldn't make sense for Pandora to be bullied. She was still a princess and ponykind doesn't judge on appearance (more on reputation actually.) However, Pandora still suffered because her innate chaotic nature had her do alot of twisted pranks or acts of magics that terrified the populace and Pandora worked hard to try and prove to the ponies she wasn't a monster.

They emphasize more his (admittingly legitimate) struggle with his father and having his former friend be better than him by natural talent and hard work. WordOfGod has pointed out this trend despite her plans on making him more or less the BigBad of the verse, especially when she mentioned there would be little he wouldn't do for power.

She's granted immense magical power and social privilege thanks to Twilight Sparkle and Discord being her parents (both of whom love her very much, unlike Bruce, Moondancer or Chakra Blossom's parents), which results in her being better than Moondancer [[BornLucky without even trying]] and rubs it in his face that no matter how hard he studies, [[SmugSuper she'll always be better than he is.]] She also pranks and mocks her cousin Skyla in a pretty mean-spirited way (not that Skyla is above returning this treatment), even though Skyla tried to help Pandora when the latter was training to be a Princess, and Skyla is mentioned to have no real close friends while Pandora does. Not to mention that while she's a decent parent to Oddball, she outright ''abandoned'' Mako in the Makoverse and when confronted about it by Mako himself, [[NeverMyFault she blames Cupcake]] for "turning" Mako against her. She also tends to {{Wangst}} about ponies treating her differently, even though there are other pony hybrid characters (Iridescence and Artemis) who don't complain about it nearly as much as Pandora does. It doesn't help she has ShipTease with a ''lot'' of characters and her most antagnostic relationships (Moondancer and Bruce) seem to be because they had romantic feelings for her at one point.
