General clarification on works content

** The line before "Pets in the City" line, which ran from 2014 to 2016, returned to using bobble heads. However, fans still dislike them due to having removable heads, using a different kind of plastic than older toys, having a wide variety of expressions that make it harder to imagine unique personalities for the pets, and having tiny holes molded in to insert small pieces called Deco Bits. While Hasbro didn't reuse the old molds again, stating that the 2000s-era LPS are "retired", subsequent iterations of the toyline ("Pets in the City") have used designs that more closely resemble the toys from the peak of the brand's popularity.
** A frequent source of contention about the first wave of G7 pets is that despite pre-launch promotional material hyping up a return to the second generation's aesthetics, there's a distinct lack of G2's signature eye symbol-based personality marks due to the symbols being painted on the pets' bodies instead in the majority of cases. While this would be understandable if G7 fully committed to having personality marks on the bodies to establish its own identity, two pets out of the sixty-nine also have eye symbols, with one of them being the generation's mascot and the first pet in the relaunch to be seen by the public, furthering the expectation for more pets to have eye symbols. As for the remaining 67, a further topic of debate is a lack of consistency with the presentation of the symbols; some blend in with the pet's other markings, while others have been unfavorably compared to [[Franchise/MyLittlePony cutie marks]] due to standing out too much, such as [[https://lpsmerch.com/g7/details/g7lpsbfs1p60/ this Pomeranian]] who has a single cream-colored lightning bolt next to its eye that sticks out against its dark brown body.

* TheScrappy: The Blythe dolls released as part of the "Blythe Loves Littlest Pet Shop" are loathed by the fanbase due to intruding into their idea of what the brand's setting should be. Prior to that point, the setting of ''Littlest Pet Shop'' was often depicted by official media and considered by many fans to be a world that only contained tiny {{Civilized Animal}}s, with the "pet shop" aspect being a metaphor comparing the world's vast amount of pets to a pet shop. * TheScrappy: Blythe. Not the one from the [[WesternAnimation/LittlestPetShop2012 2012 show]], but specifically the predecessor dolls that were released with certain pets in the ''Blythe Loves Littlest Pet Shop'' line from 2010 to 2011. As the setting of ''Littlest Pet Shop'' was considered by many fans to be a whole different world filled with ''little'' pets that thrive there on their own (as the DS and Wii games have), with the “pet shop” aspect only being metaphorical as to compare the world of so many pets to a pet shop, many considered the inclusion of Blythe, especially as she was both [[TokenHuman a human]] and intended to be a pet sitter, to not be a good idea. The fact of Blythe being a pet sitter and the many sets she was released with the LPS on leashes has also caused PoisonOakEpilepticTrees to materialize.
