Jack's one of the main protagonists. Also got rid of a complain-y Zero Context Example.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: Creator/JessicaChastain's Maggie and Creator/ShiaLaBeouf's Jack are noted to be some of the best characters in the movie.
* HamAndCheese: Creator/GuyPearce knew he'd been given a caricature of a role and committed to it in the best way possible.
* SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct: Creator/ShiaLaBeouf does not suck in this movie.

* SpiritualSuccessor: This movie shares a lot of tropes with ''Film/TheProposition'', which was also directed by Hillcoat, written by Cave, scored by Cave and Ellis, and featured Guy Pearce as a law-enforcing criminal named Charlie. Most importantly, both are about three outlaw brothers.
