* GoddamnedBats: Certain parts of the story have unmarked cops wandering around Kamuro and if you get caught by them Tatsuya will run off to some corner of the district. Due to the distant view and sudden cuts of the camera as you move between streets, it's very easy to stumble onto them over and over.

* GoddamnedBoss: The SuperBoss Gaia. He uses the best strongest style the player can unlock, hits hard and he's a DamageSpongeBoss. How much damage can he sponge? [[MarathonBoss 30 minutes worth of damage!]] Even longer if you're not playing in NewGamePlus with it's increased level cap. Unsurprisingly fighting Gaia is a complete slog. He is just a beefed up regular enemy, his battle music is not unique, he has an unoriginal design and he doesn't have any phases throughout the battle like the Super bosses of the mainline games. For those who enjoy the Amon clan bosses you'd be totally bored of Gaia. His reward? 6000 exp points and a belt that increases every stat, brings in more encounters and starts you off with red heat every battle...after you've beaten the strongest enemy and most likely already at max level. At least you can take it with you in Premium Adventure and NewGamePlus.

* ThatOneBoss: [[BoxingBattler Shima Tetsuji]]. He might not seem like anything impressive at first, considering he's only using a simplistic boxing style. However, he has a mechanic where if his head damage reaches 100%, he delivers a OneHitKill that's impossible to evade. If you bring in a moveset that relies mainly on head strikes, such as boxing, you're gonna be in for a rough time. Granted, this can be circumvented by bringing in a style such as Jiujitsu, but even heat actions that damage his head count, so you need to be careful not to accidentally trigger any of those.
