* OneSceneWonder: Little Lu. He manages to be [[EvilIsHammy hammy]] without seeming too ridiculous, has a super catchy song, and only appears during the factory sequence.

** Gretchen. Despite being set up as a confident, untroubled person with nothing to lose, "The Forgetting" makes it clear it that this attitude is the inevitable result of losing so much of her memory and realizing that she'll never see the people she cares about again. It also gradually becomes clear that she's falling in love with Jasper, while knowing [[spoiler:or at least believing]] that he's in love with someone else and she can't return to the Living World anyway.

** Agnes, [[spoiler:even though she is Gretchen]], is this for different reasons. As soon as she's reunited with Jasper, she loses him as he forgets his last remaining, loses him ''again'' when they get captured by the Norse Gods, she gets forced to work in a NightmarishFactory run by Lucifer, and [[spoiler:ends up realizing that the life she and Jasper want to return to isn't even worth it]].

* ContinuityLockout: ''Jasper in Deadland'' assumes familiarity with mythology from the get-go as well as ''Literature/TheDivineComedy'', and the amount of characters from different mythologies with various inside jokes can be confusing for casual viewers.
