I watched the DVD; it's "civil union," not "city union." I had a feeling that was the mistake realizing the term for same-sex marriages before they were legal nationwide were "civil unions."

I added "Hilarious in Hindsight" to mention that all of Marshall's 3 examples would say "Married!" after same-sex marriage was legalized nationwide. I copied the text from a website but I might need to watch the episode on DVD to see if it's accurate.
