* CompleteMonster: Mortimer Handee was the puppet host of Mortimer's Handeemen who was brought to life by voodoo magic, and decided to plot to TakeOverTheWorld and turn humans into puppet hosts. Killing his creator and most of the staff, Mortimer has the studio converted into his lair, luring in numerous people to kill and use as hosts, sometimes letting the psychotic Riley Ruckus operate on them, even allowing fellow puppets to be experimented on by her. Having personally put the innocent puppet Scout on the protagonist, Mortimer confronts them personally during their escape attempt, challenging Scout to one last game of cat and mouse to further torment the player, and has his mutant dog Rosco attempt to kill them, his polite facade disappearing rapidly as they escape, threatening to kill Riley and then the protagonist himself.

Threw Daisy in since she ended up appearing in the game as well. Though now that they've both been introduced, do we even still need this trope?

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Two perfectly good characters in fact. Nick Nack and Daisy Danger make no major appearances in the game despite being shown extensively as part of the main cast, with the former only appearing in a brief scene and the latter not appearing at all. Sadly, this was because the money ran out before they could be properly implemented and ultimately the decision was made to simply leave them out rather then attempting to include them as they were. Slightly lessened with the announcement of Hello Puppets: Midnight Show, which rescues Nick Nack from this trope by prominently featuring him as an antagonist.

Please keep the entries in alphabetical order, it makes sorting and editing easier. Refer to How To Alphabetize Things if you need a refresher.

* HarsherInHindsight: In one of the posters, Mortimer can be seen gifting a young girl her very own puppet; just like he does to the player.

* UglyCute: Scout, while looking a little strange, still looks like she could fit on the cast of a puppet show.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: WordOfGod states that Nick Nack and Daisy Danger were cut for sadly simple reasons -- not enough time and money to do the job properly. Rather than shoehorn in a terrible pair of levels, the remaining resources were spent on Rosco, the puppet dog.

* SpecialEffectFailure: During the ending,
