** {{OVA}} adaptation: Masaki Kihara creates the mechas for the organization Hau Dragon as well as the ArtificialHumans to pilot them before betraying the Hau Dragon to steal the Zeorymer and dying. Years later, when his clone Masato Akitsu pilots the Zeorymer, Masaki's memories start to take control of the clone's body during his combats against the pilots of the Hau Dragon. * TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The '''ideas''' are good, even provocative, and there's a Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion sort of deconstruction of the SuperRobot genre built-in to the show. However, the show fails to properly use them. For example, having all of the villains come with [[spoiler: built-in [[FatalFlaw Fatal Flaws]] for Masaki to exploit?]] Clever. But, as TalkingTheMonsterToDeath notes, rather than actually show them exploited, the show prefers to just let Zeorymer nuke 'em into submission.
** Though as some have pointed out, giving every villain a flaw that allows you to manipulate and control them and thus keep the battle always in your favor, is writing-wise no different from just putting a bomb in the cockpit with your hand on the trigger. It's essentially letting the protagonist cheat.

She sits naked, by herself in an isolated room, several electrodes attached to her until the button is pressed. At that point she starts trembling and moaning, clearly in pain from the experience. She stops covering her bare chest with her arms in order to clench the chair arms where she's sitting from the pain she's going through. All the while Oki, one of the "good guys", watches on stonefaced.
