* ScrappyMechanic: The conversion rates for duplicate cosmetics has been seen as this. Made even more egregious by the fact that the Char Zaku II skin, which was available in the CNT for the same as the other legendary skins at 600, is now a whopping ''4000 materials''.

** The lack of auto-fill. While it's understandable that not everyone wants to get stuck in a losing game, the queue for a new game can be very long to the point where several NA players would admit that they would play on Asia servers, cause at least they'll get games at least, even with higher ping. Not helped by the game being very finicky and you'd like drop which triggers the anti-RageQuit mechanics, even during a server disconnect.

** Gundam Exia, even after being nerfed, remains extremely oppressive in the hands of skilled players, due to the nature of it's abilities. Being one of the smallest suits in the game combined with an insane FIVE dashes means that it's extremely easy for it to dip in and out of combat at will, making it extremely hard to kill despite it's meager 800 HP. A bad Exia player won't die, but won't contribute much in the way of damage or kills. A good Exia still won't die, while also terrorizing your backline and squishies.

* HighTierScrappy: Barbatos was easily a high tier nuisance in the closed network test thanks to the [[LightningBruiser mixture of powerful attacks, quick dashes, ability to reset its leap following a kill, and having 1000 HP compared to the 800 HP that most close range fighters have.]] The fact one of its moves are a stun and another is [[OneHitKill able to skip the downed mechanic and just eliminate the opponent]] makes fight one incredibly frustrating if it gets the drop on you.

** Like many sniper archetypes in shooters, GM Sniper II also fell into this during the network test, especially on the PC version due to the nature of mouse aiming. It's designed around landing headshots for instant or near-instant downs, and in the beta its headshot hitbox was shockingly large, meaning it could often take people out of fights the instant they entered its line of sight. This resulted in its headshot hitbox detection being shrunk and its damage output lowered slightly by the launch version.

** In the network test, while many saw the Guntank as a fun, casual-oriented unit, it was lacking in several areas, such as its mobility and damage output. By the time of the game's launch, it received a massive BalanceBuff that increased its health pool, made it nearly as fast as the Zaku, and made its damage output significantly more consistent.

** On the low side, the Turn A Gundam was frequently derided during the betas as a AwesomeButImpractical unit, as its fire rate was too slow to be useful DPS, its self heal was too minor to be effective for staying in the battle, and the grapple was a slow easily telegraphed attack with too short a range to be used on an enemy not stuck to a wall.

* BrokenBase: The usage of [[{{MicroTransactions}} EvoCoins]] has left a bad taste in some players' mouths as the conversion rate is almost one-to-one unless you spend for the much larger packages. The fact that the game's design seems to [[BribingYourWayToVictory lean rather heavily into it also]] gives pause.
