** Faust's wheelchair super in ''-STRIVE-'' when used on Ramlethal. Yes, a wheelchair to the shins hurts no matter who it's used on, and it elicits some very humorous reactions, but the leg that Faust hits when he [[JustForPun rams it]] into Ramlethal just so happens to be the one that's ''wrapped in bandages.''

** Millia. In the first ''Guilty Gear''. Next to the FinalBoss Justice, she was by far the cheapest character in the game, capable of throwing direction-changing projectiles and keeping you at [[JustForPun hair's length]]. And her Iron Maiden super involved firing a myriad of slow-moving, large, homing projectiles that guaranteed you could never get anywhere close to her. And if her health dropped below 50%, she could spam that move forever. It was very difficult to get close to her, and there she was even ''more'' dangerous. Thankfully, she's never come close to that level of cheese since then, as she no longer has the old super and her projectiles work much differently now. Plus, her Iron Maiden is now a completely different move that's now her Instant Kill instead. Millia in ''X'' was still a top pick in tournaments.

* FriendlyFandoms:
** With ''{{VideoGame/Darkstalkers}}'', a series that very much inspired much of GG's identity and mechanics. Both are colorful, fast paced anime fighting games with over the top characters and animations.

** The scene in ''-STRIVE-'''s Another Story where [[spoiler:the result of Faust's HeroicSacrifice is revealed]] is a heartbreaking moment, but it's slightly spoilt by the shot of [[spoiler:Faust's soul ascending like he's in a cartoon]] and the comical "whup" sound he makes, which sounds more like he's trying to drink from a water fountain than [[spoiler:having his soul ripped out of his body.]]

While this garnered a lot of love from the LGBTFanbase for how respectully her transition arc was portrayed and being a role model for real-life transgender women (espeically those who were introduced to the series prior to coming out), there is also considerable pushback against this development as well, whether it's due to accusations of PanderingToTheBase or simply liking her pre-transition presentation better for being a depiction of a WholesomeCrossdresser who isn't fetishized or reduced to a one-note joke. There are also those who raise concerns over how well the whole thing was actually executed with her pre-existing backstory already making her a trans metaphor in the ''opposite'', trans''masculine'' direction, which the new story throws a spanner in the works of, with some even going so far as thinking that it creates some unfortunate undertones.

It's to the point where Bridget and her backstory were how many people even became aware of ''Guilty Gear'' in the first place. With each new character popularity poll, Bridget consistently topped several of the lists, so when it was finally confirmed that Bridget would become the first character of ''-STRIVE-'''s second DLC season, the fandom erupted in joy. The later reveal that Bridget has come around to identifying as a trans woman attracted even more eyes to the series, in part due to the representation she provided.
** Robo-Ky. Despite being Ky's [[EvilTwin evil robot twin]], wearing the same clothes and even copying some of his moveset, Robo-Ky earned a distinct, separate identity and a lot of love.
** Within minutes of seeing footage of him, fans immediately proclaimed their adoration of ''Xrd'' story NPC Leo Whitefang. He was confirmed as DLC. Cue fandom exploding. He grew to great importance in the main story, and returned for ''-STRIVE-'' as part of the default roster.
** And with the coming of ''Xrd'''s Story Mode, President Gabriel turned into one of these, gaining a surprising amount of popularity after fans finally got to see his combat prowess.

Geena is a member of the Post-War Administration Bureau tasked with retrieving the War Relic "Zessen" from the Japanese colony. While his attacks become faster and reach further the higher the blood gauge goes, [[PowerAtAPrice filling out the blood gauge comes at the cost of all of his special moves and a decent chunk of his health]]. [[TheComputerIsAcheatingBastard Not for the boss version.]] Boss [=Nagoriyuki=]'s blood gauge oscillates between full and empty throughout the fight, completely independently from the special moves he uses, which means he can spam them as much as he likes in order to cross you up, [[LightningBruiser zip across the screen]] and either remove massive chunks of your health, or at the very least, [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown keep you in ludicrous blockstrings]]. Hitting bloodrage mode gives him none of the drawbacks either, only making him that much more dangerous. Paired with his massive damage output, a considerable amount of your health is going to dissapear from chip damage ''alone''. And if you manage to beat him without losing a round, you get to fight him with boosted stats in [[FromBadToWorse ''permanent bloodrage'']].
