* ScrappyMechanic: You get to use bubble gum to make a bubble so big that Giana can fit inside it and use it to fly around the level. But the bubble is very difficult to control, popping it will drop you into whatever hazards may be below and pretty much guarantees death, and it is mandatory in nearly every level that has it.

* SugarWiki/SweetDreamsFuel: The ''DS'' game stars a cute protagonist, has bright and colorful pixel art graphics, and some of the best Retraux chiptune music ever. Punk Giana even has elements of this, being an adorable Perky Goth. The game is this.simply a fun time from start to finish. The game is All Just a Dream, making this one of the more literal examples on this page.

* PortingDisaster: ''Giana Sisters 2D'' is a horrible PC port of a horrible mobile port of ''Giana Sisters DS''. Setting aside the "improved" sprites that make ''Giana 2D'' look like a cheap Flash game, the game is a buggy mess. From dodgy hit detection, to achievements not working, to the game flat-out refusing to recognize that you're cleared a stage; Giana 2D is a terrible representation of the DS game.
