* {{Narm}}: [[spoiler: Igusu's death in #7 is a HeroicSacrifice]] wherein he charges the others with continuing Godou's legacy before [[spoiler: dying at the hands of the PowerParasite MonsterOfTheWeek]]. The gravitas of such an event is entirely undercut by everyone standing around with their mouths agape and weapons drawn while their friend is clearly struggling despite outnumbering the enemy six-to-one.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The premise of the show centers on a group of Hagane Knights, {{Mooks}} in the world of ''Garo''. However, so much priority is put on Souma's backstory (and Ryuga's mentoring of him) that the show directly strays from this premise rather early. Little is really learned about the Hagane Knights: How this particular group was formed, how differently the Hagane caste operates compared to named Knights, class struggles, philosophical differences - none of this gets a mention beyond a single throwaway line from Ryuga on why class-divides are irrelevant. After the mid-way point, the other Haganes are outright excised from the plot in favor of the same [[TheConspiracy internal politicking]] of previous seasons.
