* TechnologyMarchesOn: Following ''TabletopGame/{{Monopoly}}'''s lead, an [[https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LHJZ1OI/ "Electronic Banking" edition]] of the game, that replaces the paper money with a debit card reader, was released. It even uses the same readers as ''Monopoly''.

ZCE and moving Fridge Logic to Headscratchers

* FridgeLogic:
** Why are getting married and buying a house mandatory events?
** When other players land on spaces matching your career, why does all the money they pay automatically go to you?
** This is especially JustForFun/{{egregious}} if you're the accountant; any time someone has to pay their taxes, all their tax money goes directly to you.
** If you land on a space where you must pay the player with the indicated career symbol, and you are that player, then you don't pay anything. It's bizarre to say the least.
** If you are the accountant, you don't pay taxes. Ever.

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Landing on one of the ''Taxes Due'' tiles may give you a static image of a "National Debt Cauldron" burning money with a [=NPC=] character commenting about the lost money. This was 10 years before the worldwide financial crisis of 2008 that led later to increasing national debt in the US.

* UncannyValley: While amusing for its time when released in 1998, the character designs haven't aged well.

* ValuesDissonance: College giving you career and salary choices has become very dated since the 2010s, where it became less and less important for the average person, due to both throwing you into ever-increasing debt that takes a decade to pay off at the least, and the shrinking amounts of positions available, to the point where it’s rarer for someone to be able to choose where they end up, both with and without a specialized degree.

* MostAnnoyingSound: The announcer can get on your nerves after a while and the voice acting on the square results ranges from "actually kinda decent" to "nails on chalkboard", not to mention some of the jokes get old fast. Fortunately, both can be turned off.

* EarWorm: Some of the musical themes pertaining to different decades can get stuck in your head for a long time (especially [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du_e05FZG9c this one]] from the [=90s=], largely due to it being an obvious {{Pastiche}} of the already-catchy ''Series/{{Friends}}'' theme song).
