Apparently Celtic Phoenix didn't like the Hate Fic trope being on the main page of his work and demanded it be altered. Moving the original back to YMMV where I originally posted it.

Added DiffLines:

* HateFic: The author clearly has a severe disdain for [[WebAnimation/{{RWBY}} the original show as written,]] describing it as "a show with infinite potential left to squander in a desert of idiocy." The fic consistently diverts from the themes present in canon, alters characters to the point that they bear no resemblance to their canon counterparts, and includes [[AuthorFilibuster tracts about the failings of the original show, and how his version is superior.]] It matches the TVTropes definition of this trope to a T.

A Hate Fic does not strictly have to be deconstructive, it simply may be, and the second paragraph of the trope description accurately describes this fic. Furthermore, Reconstruction in the TV Tropes sense refers to building a deconstructed concept back up in a way that resembles the original; it isn't something a Fix Fic is capable of unless it's building up a concept the original work critiqued, as a reconstruction must be a response to a deconstruction.

A Hate Fic has to be a deconstructive Revenge Fic against an entire cast, as I've just found from reviewing the page — reconstructive fix fics don't count.

* HateFic: The author clearly has a severe disdain for [[WebAnimation/{{RWBY}} the original show as written,]] describing it as "a show with infinite potential left to squander in a desert of idiocy." * CompleteMonster: [[Characters/RWBYCinderFall Cinder Fall]] is an ambitious agent of [[Characters/RWBYSalem Salem]], whose actions have left the world in a state of disunity and chaos.
