* NintendoHard: Combat is considerably more difficult than the standard ''Half-Life'' fare, with Bad Cop being more vulnerable to damage due to him lacking Gordon’s [[PoweredArmor HEV suit]]. Certain fights can end up becoming an outright slog if you can’t maneuver your way around the enemy.

* ThatOneLevel: The Stalker EscortMission during "Low". It's a long and tedious section, with the Stalker's headlamp and the occasional emergency flare being the only light sources and plenty of creatures waiting in the dark to overwhelm your protectorate. This part of the game was once also bugged such that the Stalker could trigger a game over by walking under Barnacles even after you've killed them, and the level transition at the end could become non-functional if you quicksaved too closely to it. Thankfully, these bugs have since been fixed, and the section has been revamped as a whole so that the distance you need to actually escort the Stalker is considerably shorter.

** The entire final chapter. Between the rather obtuse puzzles, obnoxious CFLU mechanic, and fights against hard-hitting Vortigaunts and Stalkers, it's quite the brutal last leg.

* ScrappyMechanic: CFLU infection, which periodically affects Bad Cop during the last chapter, significantly slows his movement speed and drains his health until he uses a vaccination machine to cure himself. Dealing with this mechanic is rather tiresome, and Breadman himself regrets implementing it the way that he did.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The mod boasts a captivating original sountrack composed by Spencer Baggett, who does well to adhere to Kelly Bailey's style, as well as a few high-octane remixes of tracks from the ''Half-Life 2'' Episodes created by Morch Kovalski.
