* JerkassWoobie: Jimmy shows a side that has proven to be much too dark for many viewers, but nobody likes to be publicly humiliated.

** While Ed and Edd didn't deserve to be punished, some fans see Eddy as a saint who did nothing wrong to warrant the HumiliationConga Jimmy put him and his friends through.

DR must be intentional. KO means not this.

* KarmicOverkill: Of course, there is no doubt that Eddy disrupting Jimmy's Friendship Day festivities by giving Jimmy an atomic wedgie was uncalled for and warranted him getting taken down a peg. However, the sheer lengths Jimmy goes for payback was seen by a number of viewers as [[DisproportionateRetribution going a bit overboard]] (especially since Ed and Edd didn't do anything to provoke Jimmy other than laugh at him alongside the other kids after the wedgie) and even ended up both overshadowing the episode's interesting detective concept and permanently tarnishing Jimmy as a character for much of the fanbase.

* AluminumChristmasTrees: Jujubes are seen this episode being very crucial in the plot since Jimmy uses them in his scheme against the Eds, and Road can be seen eating them throughout the episode. Jujubes are in fact a real world candy over 150 years old, consisting of the five colors: Violet, Lilac, Lime, Wild Cherry, and Lemon.
