I think that this would only be Informed Wrongness if a. Huey was calling Dewey out on running, working with the pirates, and b. he was said to be wrong instead of Scrooge just telling him to hush.

* InformedWrongness: Huey is considered in the wrong for telling Dewey he has poor communication skills and saying the pirates taking them hostage is still mainly his fault, and is forced to apologize to him by the others. The only problem is Huey is right on the money: the very first thing Dewey did after the plane crashed was run away, and even if he didn't intend to have them nearly get killed he still led a group of bloodthirsty pirates to take the rest of his family hostage.

Every single one of those entries are just complaints.

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Replacing fan favorite Jim Cummings with Jaime Camil as Don Karnage has provoked this reaction from many fans.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: As the A-plot has broken the base, some fans have pointed out wasted potential.
** The B-plot with Louie and the jewel. Louie gets a bad case of greediness, and it seems that the jewel is magic - only for Webby to suddenly deny that entire subplot as a mere prank.
** Also, the simple act of explosive decompression caused by the penetration of a plane's hull in flight ''never happens'', which several fans have pointed out as a lack of realism, and a waste of several spectacular action scenes.
** While we're talking about action, the fact that the episode decided to go in a musical direction was criticized by a lot of fans for killing any possible tension the story might've had.
** It seems that there's an interesting story behind Dewey's hat, but the episode tries to comically shrug it off as an [[MiddleChildSyndrome exaggerated cry for attention from a middle child]].
** Several fans were disappointed that the pirate that Don Karnage cold-bloodedly threw off his aircraft was revealed to have survived thanks to a parachute. It really put a dent in how much of a merciless menace Don Karnage might've been.

First of all, he is called out for it by his brothers. Secondly, getting his family captured was probaly the only way he would get off the pirate ship alive. Honestly the only people I've seen complaining about Dewey in this episode are on this site.

** Several fans were disappointed that the pirate that Don Karnage cold-bloodedly threw off his aircraft was revealed to have survived thanks to a parachute. It really put a dent in how much of a merciless menace Don Karnage might've been.
** The fact that Dewey essentially betrayed and helped pirates take his own family prisoner is never given much consequence or thought.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Dewey for some fans. Capturing your own family and almost getting them killed will cause this reaction. It also does not help that he is instantly forgiven for his actions and has no lasting consequences for them.

The Dewey bais levels are high. The fact that he wanted the pirates to return the money they stole from his family makes it clear that his entire (badly thought out plan) was not to betray his family.

** The fact that Dewey ''betrayed and helped pirates capture his family'' is never given much consequence or drama.
***Especially since the episode had his family apologizing to him while they were still tied up. Alot of fans felt that there should have been some lasting trust issues between HDL because of Dewey's actions (so that Dewey would have some type of consequences for his behavior). But Huey and Louie never mention it again.
** Several fans were disappointed that the pirate that Don Karnage cold-bloodedly threw off his aircraft was revealed to have survived thanks to a parachute. It really put a dent in how much of a merciless menace Don Karnage might've been.
UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Dewey in this episode. While it is easy to sympathize with him about being ignored and for the family not noticing he was gone, his actions after he takes over the pirate crew lost him all sympathy with a good number of fans. Being upset and hurt is fine, but taking your own family members prisoner and putting them in danger is not the way to go about communicating your hurt. Sure, Dewey wanted to the pirates to let them go after he proved his point, but they all still almost died because of his actions. Louie even quips at him, "Here to shove us off the plank yourself, Captain Dewey?"

As I pointed out before, he was not running away, he only joined the pirates when got a little caught up in the whole swashbucklar dancing pirate thing and also he never intended of harming his family.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: ''Dewey''. Okay, sure his family is a bit too busy with their own business to pay any attention to his story. But does that justify running away in the middle of a rainforest, joining a bunch of (sky) pirates and then ''helping them capture'' his family?! ''And then the writers want us to side with Dewey and expect his brothers, Scrooge and Webby to apologize to him?!'' And from what we hear of his story, it wasn't even that interesting to begin with.

Broken Base requires A) at least two sides, not just complains. B) a sustained conflict of at least six months

* BrokenBase: Some fans thought this as a nice BreatherEpisode. Others didn't like the practically non-existent stakes, Dewey's sudden unsympathetic characterization, the replacement of Jim Cummings, and the fact that the Sky Pirates weren't as threatening as their [[WesternAnimation/TaleSpin original counterparts]].
