** Vexen being TheFriendThatNobodyLikes TheFriendNobodyLikes in this series becomes funnier when in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsIII'', he is only brought back into the true Organization XIII as a reserve member (along with Demyx).Demyx), [[spoiler:and gets RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap when he becomes TheMole in the Organization.]]

** Xemnas was already a pretty clear BadBoss in the series, something this show had fun hamming it up with. Then later games reveal that [[spoiler:he'd been attempting to groom the Organization members into forgoing their senses of self so that they could serve as hosts for Master Xehanort's heart. He ends up dying having come to regret how terribly he treated the Organization.]]

Added DiffLines:

* HilariousInHindsight:
** As the series began before the release of ''Re: Chain of Memories'', western audiences didn't know how to pronounce Marluxia's name properly, and neither did the show's creators. Thus Marluxia's name is misspelled for the entirety of the series.
** Vexen being TheFriendThatNobodyLikes in this series becomes funnier when in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsIII'', he is only brought back into the true Organization XIII as a reserve member (along with Demyx).
* HarsherInHindsight:
** Saïx's flanderized UndyingLoyalty to Xemnas becomes this when latter games reveal that [[spoiler:he joined Xehanort's Seekers of Darkness out of jealousy towards Axel's friendship with Roxas and Xion and isn't happy about it.]]
** Sora's RoaringRampageOfRevenge when Xemnas claims to have kidnapped Kairi becomes harder to watch when in ''III'', [[spoiler:Xemnas kidnaps Kairi and brings her to Master Xehanort to be executed, which in turn leads to Sora's own quasi-death when he overuses the Power of Waking to revive her.]]
* ValuesDissonance:
** The series was released around the time in the late 2000's/early 2010's when LGBTQ+ acceptance was only just getting started. Thus to a modern audience, the rampant gay jokes about Marluxia and Saïx are horrifically offensive.
** Lexaeus being played as an over-the-top cariacture of a black man by a white voice actor is also far less acceptable at the end of the 2010's than it was when the series took place.
