** The nightmarish and stiff Chipmunk puppets and animatronics used for the Po parody are standouts in an already ugly-looking film.

Added a wick to Redundant Parody.

** One of the main characters that the film parodies is Giselle from Film/Enchanted, even though the character and her original film is already an AffectionateParody of the Disney Princesses. Not only is she never named, only being listed as "Enchanted Princess" in the credits Even though the trailers and marketing for Enchanted had already revealed Giselle's name prior to release, but her screentime and personality consists entirely of making fun of Disney tropes and her not belonging in a modern setting, which was already the premise of her own film.

Actor trivia shoehorn and meta.

* HilariousInHindsight:
** In a more meta-example, in Disaster Movie one of the brief reference gags involves "Iron Man" introducing himself before quickly being squashed by a falling cow. While Disaster Movie became Seltzer And Friedberg's worst reviewed movie before they and the Parody genre as a whole lost mainstream appeal after Film/VampiresSuck, Film/IronMan1 would wind up starting an entire series of movies for years afterwards worth billions.
** Disaster Movie has a parody of Film/Jumper with Will in the part of David Rice. This wouldn't be the last time Creator/MattLanter took on a role previously played by Creator/HaydenChristensen.

* ShallowParody:
** The WesternAnimation/2007 parody is especially bad because all the actor portraying the spoof of Beowulf does is yell "I am Beowulf" and get naked. Suffice to say, the real film is about a lot more than just that.
** Probably the most shallow is Nicole Parker's take on Giselle, who - despite being namedropped in the trailer of the film she comes from - is simply called "Enchanted Princess" in the credits. On top of that, she has to talk about how enchanting everything is, just so the audience knows what movie she came from.

to:

* ShallowParody:
ShallowParody: As with most other Creator/SeltzerAndFriedberg works, the characters and films depicted were primarily based on the trailers of their respective films due to the movies themselves not being released yet during production. As such, these satirical portrayals bear little resemblance to their official counterparts.

** In the climax, the titular character of
WesternAnimation/2007 parody is especially bad because all appears to fight the actor portraying the spoof protagonists. His entire role consists of Beowulf does is yell shouting "I am Beowulf" Beowulf!" and get naked. Suffice to say, the real film is about a lot more than just that.
** Probably the most shallow is Nicole Parker's take on Giselle, who -
characters making fun of him for not wearing any clothes, despite being namedropped this only occurring in the trailer a single scene in his actual film.

** The Iron Man parody looks like he's wearing a store-bought Halloween costume, with his shoulder armor coming close to blowing off in the wind, and the parts around the neck and arms being thrown together with some cheap fabric. Even more bizarrely, the make-up and costume of the Hellboy parody who shows up afterwards are actually quite decent by this movie's standards.

What imbecile put this here? It's trivia.

* MidDevelopmentGenreShift: The film started life as a Film/Superbad parody called "Goodie Two Shoes", but for whatever reason changed to a loose parody of Film/Cloverfield in the middle of production.

* JustHereForGodzilla: Despite Disaster Movie being perhaps their most critically panned and despised movie, some are willing to watch it simply to see the actual Creator/KimKardashian get killed and/or to see Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus get crushed by a meteor.
* OneSceneWonder: The Advertising/HeadOn skit, often considered the best joke in the entire film.
* Padding: Every scene is spent on incredibly long-winded "gags" that seemingly last for an eternity, without any sort of proper plot progression whatsoever.
* MidDevelopmentGenreShift: The film started life as a Film/Superbad parody called "Goodie Two Shoes", but for whatever reason changed to a loose parody of Film/Cloverfield in the middle of productionproduction.
* QuestionableCasting: Even by the standards of these films, Creator/KimKardashian stands out as being woefully miscast as one of the main protagonists in Disaster Movie.

* SpecialEffectFailure:
** The nightmarish and stiff Chipmunk puppets and animatronics used for the Po parody are standouts in an already ugly-looking film.
** It's obvious they just used some sort of distortion effect to crush the Film/IronMan, Batman and Hulk parodies under falling cows. Said cows also look like wooden sculptures.
** The Hulk parody is clearly wearing a pair of green-painted underwear when his shorts rip off.
