** In Episode VI, Leia complains that "we really want to be on the Peace Moon, not this forest moon." Then, Episode VII retcons the Forest Moon as the ''real'' Peace Moon. So, she was actually there all along...

* BetterThanCanon: Some believe the comic is better than the original films, even going so far as to say it has better story logic. It helps that some of the weird elements and blunders from the films are explained away by common aspects of a tabletop RPG (fumbling important rolls, derailing the intended plot, making up silly explanations on the fly). Special note must be made of the explanation offered for how the Ewoks (or Ewocs) were able to defeat the Imperial troops. There were different sets of combat rules for "primitive" and "high tech" settings, which were never meant to be used together. Which is how we have Ewoks outrunning laser blasts and destroying walkers using logs.

Kill Em All is no longer a trope

** The "Jim always dies" gag also feels eerily prescient of ''Film/RogueOne'' [[spoiler:and its infamous KillEmAll ending]]. This one actually got lampshaded in the comic, by having [[spoiler:various characters from ''Rogue One'' be the ones that Jim got killed between Episodes III and IV]].

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

** In 2013, two years after the ''Revenge of The Sith'' campaign wrapped up, ''The Making of The Return of The Jedi'' came out. There is a transcript of a story session where Creator/GeorgeLucas mentions how he envisioned episode III playing out. Specifically Anakin had already fallen to the Dark Side (possibly offscreen between episodes II and III) but was working undercover with Palpatine to undermine the Republic and destroy the Jedi. This is pretty much how Annie plays Anakin in the ''Revenge of The Sith'' campaign, though she [[UpToEleven takes it up to eleven]] and even Palpatine is nothing more than a pawn in her scheme.
