* MissingTrailerScene: The trailer opens with Jimmy asking Jennifer and her friend Amelia to prom after he and Lindsay break up and being rejected with the phrases "ew" and "Get Lost, Jimmy". This scene isn't in the final film, where Jimmy just seems crushed and resigned by the breakup.
** It is in one of the deleted scenes though (with the commentary mentioning it was cut precisely to deepen the impact of Jimmy and Lindsay's breakup) which reveals that [[RefugeInAudacity Jimmy tried to ask Jennifer and her friends one after the other while they were standing right next to each other, and also asked Jennifer last]] and that Amelia's "ew" was followed by an elaboration that it was more of the last-minute cheesiness of the request that she found insulting rather than the idea of going out with Jimmy.

Cool Loser TRS cleanup, has been renamed to Unconvincingly Unpopular Character and is a YMMV audience reaction.

** Nash gets some love for his CoolLoser design and letting loose with ThePowerOfRock in a plot-relevant way.

It pains me, but I have to take Lindsay off the list since she's unquestionably one of the main two characters and thus to important to count as an Ensemble Darkorse). Also, scanning the internet, I'm not sure if Jennifer is quite popular enough to be an ensemble darkhorse after all compared to the others.

** Lindsay is generally the most liked character, for her go-getter personality, KickingAssInAllHerFinery, and getting an arc of her own instead of just being a SatelliteLoveInterest.

** Jennifer the prom queen isn't too well developed of a character but has those who like her because what develop she does get is of the LovableAlphaBitch variety.

** Arguably [[spoiler: Gwen]] who gets some nice CharacterDevelopment, as well as [[TookALevelInBadass a level in badass]], but is kind of pointlessly bitten (something [[spoiler: she]] handles somewhat poorly, just to add a more bittersweet aspect to the climax). The same could apply to [[spoiler: Stephen]], who also dies as a result of this and had an even bigger role.

* FanonDiscontinuity: It's possible to prefer to ignore [[spoiler:Steven and Gwen being zombified]], especially for being so much darker than the rest of the film.

** Gwen is pretty popular for being humorously ditzy, yet genuinely sweet and getting a cool acrobatic scene while login for the car.
