* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: As expected from another contribution to a Creator/DavidCronenberg film by composer Music/HowardShore, the latter of whom also crafted the soundtrack with the help of Canadian indie rock band Music/{{Metric}}. Even negative reviews cite the soundtrack as one of the high points of the film.
** One notable highlight includes [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_GMBlcvO1U "Long to Live"]], the song that plays over the end credits that perfectly encapsulates Eric's urgency in getting through the city unscathed. Many reviewers consider it the best song on the already positively received soundtrack thanks to Emily Haines' ethereal vocals.
* CriticalDissonance: The critics score on Website/RottenTomatoes sits at 67% while the audience score is only around half of that: 31%.

* OneSceneWonder:

* OneSceneWonder: Several:
** Creator/JayBaruchel as Shiner, Eric's nervous and under-appreciated startup partner.
** Patricia [=McKenzie=] as Kendra, the [[MsFanservice gorgeous]] security guard whom Eric asks to tase him.

Added DiffLines:

* TooBleakStoppedCaring: One of the biggest criticisms of the movie is that the characters and general atmosphere are either [[FlatCharacter too dull]], too unlikable or both to care about. Not helped by the endless [[CrypticConversation Cryptic Conversations]] that come off more as off-putting to some viewers rather than intriguing.

* HilariousInHindsight: Now that Robert Pattinson has been cast as the new ComicBook/{{Batman}}, this film feels more like it's one costume change away from being one of Bruce Wayne's regular days.

* SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped: The film parodies many real-life financial whizzes by stating that they are emotionally dead, ego-centric sociopaths with no regard for ethics or anyone else but them.

* FallenCreator: Many people feel this was the beginning of Crononberg's downfall as a director, as while the film got a fresh score on RT, a number of critics and fans criticized the film for being an overly artsy and pretentious OscarBait film with no real substance behind it(with Pattinson's wooden performance in particular getting hammered) and the film bombed at the box-office, making less then a million dollars in the U.S. in it's limited release.
