** After Kent has fully transformed, the Cloyne's roar sounds like the stereotypical party horn associated with clowns. Again, the film treats this with absolute seriousness.

** The slaughter in Chuck E. Cheese has the AdultFear aspects of a child being attacked and killed in a presumably safe environment shown in full effect. [[SpecialEffectsFailure However fake the arm sliding into the ball pit might look]], the scene still winds up being pretty nerve-wracking and chilling.

* WhatAnIdiot: Regardless of whether or not he knew, the fact the Hotel kid '''still''' constantly approached Kent despite ''the obvious behavior and such'' is fury-inducing. Not helped as well that [[spoiler: ''he caused his own death by'' '''''getting the keys to Kent's hotel room and getting killed by the sawblade''''']].

Then when Kent pulls the trigger the blood that splatters on the wall is rainbow-colored. The movie still treats the shot completely seriously regardless, [[NarmCharm and might be unnerving considering how]] [[NightmareFuel much he has changed]]. It’s... just a bit much.

After it gains complete control over Kent, it tries to use his body to kill his entire family, solely out of petty cruelty. It snaps the neck of Kent's father in law, before trying to eat Jack and tear open the stomach of Kent's wife Meg to eat the fetus of their unborn child.

* NightmareFuel: Every single murder. Some of them are so horrific it's physically painful just reading it. Every chapter has at least one scene that will make your stomach quake. Anyone up for [[spoiler:eating children?]] or maybe feeding someone into a mulcher? Lengthy tortures and truly grisly deaths make this story a nightmare fuel station.
* MoralEventHorizon: Clown shows no remorse for any of his victims, even when they are children.
* NauseaFuel: Read the story and you'll know. Chapter four deserves a mention.

* CompleteMonster: Mayuri Kurotsuchi, [[AntagonistTitle the eponymous character]]. As far as fictional serial killers go, he is one of the most vile, evil creatures ever conceived. Mayuri tricked Ichigo's mother into going to an abandoned warehouse to talk about her son. A scene was not dedicated to it, but it is explained that she was brutally murdered, gutted, and then hung from the roof by her own intestines. Ichigo is also led to the scene where he discovers his mother. He feeds someone through a mulcher, eats children, and horrifically tortures most of his victims.
