** Peddlers of pseudoscience or outdated science are routinely mocked by the gang, as demonstrated in the Sydney Weltmer, Cello Scrotum, Thomas Midgley, Camille Flammarion, Benjamin Rush, and Hail Cannon episodes.

** Instead of Tom simply playing host and watching the insanity, he's now a central participant in the mayhem.
** Where ''Citation Needed'' was built around Tom knowing the contents of the topic and the other three having to guess, ''Two of These'' is based around Tom picking a topic he knows nothing about and guessing which of the other three is giving truthful information about the topic.
** Coming off the heels of series 6-8, there's also a RevisitingTheRoots vibe to ''Two of These''; the show is once again filmed in the living room of a house rather than a studio, many of the long-lived running gags from this show are scrapped, the setup is now much more minimalist (2 cameras and 4 cheap microphones compared to a multitude of camera angles and professionally recorded audio), etc.

Jack Churchill), 6x04 (UsefulNotes/JulieDAubigny), and 8x03 (Juan Pujol Garcia) feature the crew taking someone who is already a case of this (horse serving in Korean War, Bagpipes-playing claymore-and-longbow-wielding WWII soldier, Opera singing French swordfighter, and WWII double agent spy with hilariously brilliant tactics, respectively) and joking about them being even ''more'' over-the-top.

** Coming off the heels of series 6-8, there's also a much more RevisitingTheRoots vibe to ''Two of These''; the show is once again filmed in the living room of a house rather than a studio, many of the long-lived running gags from this show are scrapped, the setup is now much more minimalist (2 cameras and 4 cheap microphones compared to a multitude of camera angles and professionally recorded audio), etc.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: When the series ended many fans were slightly annoyed that the group never got around to doing Emojli, a failed social media platform ''run by Matt and Tom'' where users could only talk in emoji's, or even Tom's own wikipedia page. While Tom has said that they wouldn't do it since it would just be a 15-minute roast of the two, it would be a fitting send-off for a show with this much friendly ribbing.

** 1x08, "The Flag of Mars and Rods from God" opens with over ''five minutes'' of the lads riffing on a fictional chocolate war, with descriptions of Freddos as casualties with missing limbs and "caramel guts spread across the battlefield" á la ''Film/SavingPrivateRyan''. It's in such poor taste that it's hilarious.

** Heck, it was predicted this would happen back in 4x01 ''when the "wheel" gag got started'', [[RuleOfThree by Chris]].

* EnsembleDarkhorse: Despite only appearing in two episodes, Will Seaward's stand-in appearance is very fondly remembered due to how well he gelled with the rest of the crew, and for being responsible for several of the show's funniest moments. The comment section is bound to have at least one mention of "PANTHERS?" in it somewhere.
