* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: With the series starting in 2011, more than a few jokes are indicative of the general attitude of the Sonic fandom at that particular point in time such as Sonic wanting to avoid the extended cast to the point of outright saying he doesn't like any of them (Mirroring the sentiment at the time that "Sonic's Friends were ruining the franchise") and '''especially''' how much abuse was lumped on to Silver due to the reviled VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006 and how he was generally seen as a flat, boring character who had no place in the main cast. [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap Though as the episodes went on, all of these jokes mostly faded over the years as fan opinions changed]]

* HilariousInHindsight: in 'Christmas with Sonic in Paradise', Manic reverts to a savage-like state while stuck alone on the island and at one point mirrors the pose of the [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarepants Caveman Spongebob meme]], which wouldn't become an actual meme until later in the year IRL, something Manic smugly points out in the following episode 'Christmas with Silver'

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: During the 10 year anniversary stream a few interesting details were revealed.
** The series was originally intended to be a sequel to WebAnimation/TheOMGMostOriginalFanficIdeaEver, with one draft featuring Sonic, Sonia and Manic as kids. The idea was scrapped and Christmas with Sonic was made instead, though there are a few references to the draft of Sonic and his siblings as kids in the first one.
** Scrapped episodes ideas included spending Christmas at Shadow's house and turning into a parody of Home Alone, and the gang going to Europe (Which is somewhat referenced in the final episode where Amy admires the Eiffel Tower and longs to visit)
** In Another Christmas With Sonic they actually WERE going to parody Frosty The Snowman but ultimately cut it for time
** Silver and Blaze becoming a couple. In the minds of the creators it still happens but it's far more subtle than what they originally wanted
