* TooBleakStoppedCaring: Much like ''Manga/{{Basilisk}}'' and other Sengoku period ninja tales, it features two ninja factions mostly made up of jerkasses fighting for control of Japan, killing each other back and forth from chapter to chapter. Even the protagonist is a jerk who temporarily betrays [[LivingMacguffin Rin]] for his clan, though he makes efforts to help her and recover her trust afterwards. What little likeable characters are there die miserably and for nothing. Even the two characters comparable to Alice, who is something of a mascot for the author, got snuffed out horribly.

* DarknessInducedAudienceApathy: Ever read ''Manga/{{Basilisk}}''? It's much like that. Two ninja factions mostly made up of jerkasses fight for control of Japan, killing each other back and forth from chapter to chapter. Even the protagonist is a jerk who temporarily betrays [[LivingMacguffin Rin]] for his clan and is unable to recover her trust afterwards. What little likeable characters are there die miserably and for nothing. Not even the Gokiburi and Alice lookalikes are spared.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Most of the cast dies quickly enough that it's hard to get attached to any of them. It is that obvious that any character who wins one fight will just get effortlessly killed next chapter. Characters who are analogous to ones from ''Arachnid'' oddly don't interact with each other, too.
