* ValuesResonance: Within a few years of the show airing, AI-generated music of the kind highlighted in the show became a reality, and with it, many of the show's associated concerns - such as [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness singers being rendered obsolete by AI models of their voices]], or whether AI music counts as "real" music at all - were catapulted into the mainstream.

I think this is a more fitting trope for this situation.

* FanNickname: The Mermaid Sisters' song title is actually "Galactic Mermaid". Good luck remembering that when people are more or less thinking the name came from its catchy lyric: [[ClusterFBomb "Fucking Bullshit"]].

Misuse; Broken Base requires two sides, and this is just one-sided complaining.

* BrokenBase: The show didn't sit well with many Shinichiro Watanabe fans for a lot of reasons, from it being too much SliceOfLife oriented, a lot of the side characters being made to appease the LGBT quotas Netflix forces (though they are somewhat better received than the average Netflix attempts, which are usually seen as political interventionism), to the series simply not feeling Watanabe enough.

* WhatAnIdiot: The measures Tuesday's mother takes to avoid scandals are... peculiar.
** She ran away to the big city and has just made it to the finals of a televised talent show. Despite her worries, nobody seems to have noticed that the two of them are related even though Tuesday ceased to conceal her identity before the show started airing, on top of a viral music performance which allowed some people to identify and locate her in less than a minute.
*** '''You'd Expect''': Her to just not do anything until the issue comes up. If somebody were to figure out the connection between them, she could just claim that Tuesday didn't want to piggyback on her currently running presidential campaign.
*** '''Instead''': She has her henchmen kidnap her in broad daylight and lock her away in her mansion. Because that potentially leaking to the public would be less damaging to her career than just letting Tuesday do her thing, obviously.

Removing entries that don't mention creator preferred ones, which is needed to count as a Fan Preferred Couple. Feel free to add back if there is ones.

* FanPreferredCouple: Long before the show even began airing and all that had been shown was the name and the leads, Carole and Tuesday was a major ship from day 1.

* SugarWiki/SuperlativeDubbing: the English dub features a solid cast all around, but the leads are particular standouts. Creator/JeannieTirado and Creator/BriannaKnickerbocker maintain the duo's heartfelt, playful dynamic and inject a lot of soul into their spoken dialogue. The casting not only keeps their singing and spoken dialogue with similar vocal ranges to avert SingingVoiceDissonance, but flows smoothly between the musical numbers.

Made their own subpages.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** For a sweet, emotionally-driven series, Dann's story in episode 14 about how [[spoiler:he went to prison, lost his wife and never got to know his daughter, who ended up in an orphanage and as a refugee on Mars; indirectly revealing to Carole that he is her father]] really takes the cake. Especially since he only told her right before [[spoiler:having to return to Earth]], after hesitating for several days, but promises to meet her again.
** Gus, Carole and Tuesday doing everything they can to help Flora in episode 16, including [[spoiler:performing a cover of her song, leading Gus and Flora to mend their relationship and Flora to find the heart to sing again.]]
** Ezekiel’s song he releases before he gets deported to Earth for living on Mars illegally, is essentially a love song or a song of heavy praise for Carole, even referencing her and Tuesday in the song.
** The finale. [[spoiler:Nearly every artist that Carole and Tuesday have met in the past join the duo onstage to perform one grand motivational song about letting your voice be heard. Even Angela, despite her ongoing rivalry with the two and the multiple tribulations that she suffered through, musters up the strength to collaborate with them. At the end, the three of them share a heartfelt hug, signifying the end of their rivalry]].
** When Angela sings ''"Mother, mother, mother, won't you come show me the way?"'' during "Mother", we briefly cut to [[spoiler:a shot of Dahlia's grave, implying that Angela is dedicating the song to her late mother]].

* TearJerker:
** [[spoiler: Desmond's final song before falling into a coma]] in episode 15.
** Angela's downward spiral in episode 21: [[spoiler:With Tao in hiding and Dahlia falling into a coma after revealing they are Angela's ''adoptive'' parent, Angela can't cope with the idea of being abandoned. She goes on a drug binge and has hallucinations of her broken AI pet telling her everyone only ever wanted to use her, and that her singing career is dead.]]
** [[spoiler:Dahlia's death, full stop. Before passing, she briefly awakens from her coma and apologizes to Angela for keeping her adoption a secret, but promises that she truly loves her and embraces her as her own. The overwhelming grief, on top of the dangerous amount of drugs in her system, put Angela in a critically unstable state, so much so that she passes out during her Grammy's performance and has to be hospitalized immediately. Since Dahlia's funeral takes place while Angela is in the hospital, she doesn't even get to give her mother a proper farewell]].
