* NeverLiveItDown: According to fandom, all Kaho does is seduce her students. This is based on her relationships with Touya, a ''former'' student from her time as a ''student teacher'', and Eriol, the reincarnation of a centuries-old sorcerer who only looks like a child so he could blend in with Sakura's class and never was Kaho's student.

** I know this joke is used too much on this site, [[{{CLAMP}} but...]]

* TrailersAlwaysSpoil : Word of [[TheWikiRule Wiki]] brought Troper A to this movie poster released along with the Special Edition of The Sealed Card Movie 2. Arguably this is actually the movie ending not shown in the video as it [[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ccs27_320.jpg shows Sakura making her leap successfully into Syaoran's arms]]. And in [[http://ccs.sky-bound.org/gallery/details.php?image_id=57140 high ]] [[http://ccs.sky-bound.org/gallery/details.php?image_id=57141 resolution!]].
** Depends whether it is a [[TrailersAlwaysSpoil promotional spoiler]] or just another generic promotional picture of Sakura hugging Syaoran in their movie costumes. To be fair, is there any proof that the artwork indeed represents the ending for the series and isn't just a generic "Sakura hugging Syaoran" pic that's been made many times before?
*** Alright then, this is [[ShownTheirWork proof]]... [[spoiler: See CLAMP's copyright logo in the high resolution. There are quite a few posters on that site like that. The illustrating artist mentioned at the bottom btw, happens to be the Chief Animation director in the cast (unfortunately this site has size limitations, but this troper did his research and has the full size)]]. And compare with [[http://ccs.sky-bound.org/gallery/details.php?image_id=54061 this angle]]. But this troper (and many others) found it a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming.
** There's no debunking it being official, however it can still just be a generic image made to promote the movie than representing the ending per se. The backdrop (which is a generic sky color rather than the tower) leaves no clue as to where the scene is based and Sakura's posing may be a simple coinsidence. There are ''lots'' of official pics with Sakura and Syaoran hugging, even in their movie costumes. Even if it is officially stated to be the true ending it likely would have been appreciated a lot more ''animated in the actual movie''.
*** I put up some research in the [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/remarks.php?trope=Main.CardcaptorSakura discussion page]]. Its only based on inference of many fans, because there are similarities When I think about it, even if it had been on video, it would have ended up in the exact same pose as the still image. This is the original pic on which lots of fan art (mostly Deviant's) is based. But no official statement from the makers.
** The fan resentment may be more due to the fact that the previous rendition of the series ''didn't'' leave the story based on assumption and ''did'' show Sakura and Syaoran's HappyEnding come full circle, in comparison to the second movie, which largely just regurgitated the same points from the final episode of the show itself (where Sakura has already implied to Syaoran that she loves him anyway), to the point you could watch just the latter and be left with no less satisfying a resolution.
*** The opinions have been moved here where you may discuss freely. All text is intact. I removed any of my comments that sounded rude...

This is toned down to make her slightly in the Nelvana dub, where she is given a more tomboy-ish.'tomboyish' attitude and some of her 'cuter' or more vulnerable aspects are edited out.

** Sakura counts too, going by the large ammount of people who say "Sakura made me a {{lolicon}}!"

* RecycledScript: You'd have observed by now that many, many portions and ideas from The Second Movie were recycled in the plot of TsubasaReservoirChronicle.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Syaoran to an extent, with Kero and Tomoyo appearing less as prominant assistants for Sakura in later episodes. A fair few episodes even play more from Syaoran's perspective than Sakura's. This (in theory) should have been convenient for Nelvana's (or Kids WB's, depending on your interpretation) marketing decisions for the dub, [[{{Macekre}} however...]]

* TastesLikeDiabetes: Occasionally accused of such due to the somewhat cutesy nature of the series as a whole (especially the title character). Then again for some, [[TropesAreNotBad it's the key draw appeal]].
* ToyShip: Sakura/Syaoran, Tomoyo->Sakura, and Chiharu/Yamazaki are all canon pairings to one degree or another, and there's plenty more non-canon pairings.

* ValuesDissonance: Sakura asks Eriol about the religious beliefs of the people at the [[CrystalDragonJesus Church]]. Eriol responds not with a description of Christianity, but with what might as well be a description of Shinto. Sakura is moved when she hears it, and anyone who knows anything about Christianity is hit with a BrokenAesop.
* TheWoobie: Being a CLAMP work, the large majority of characters have at least some vague tragic aspect to their personality. Sakura may be the most consistent example throughout the series' run, due to her occasional Moe-aspects and more fragile emotional disposition, as well as being [[TheDragAlong unwillingly dragged]] into the role of Cardcaptor to begin with.
** JerkassWoobie: Syaoran may be the series' key example in this area, though following CharacterDevelopment he is as much a standard Woobie as Sakura.

*** A full explanation is in the [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/remarks.php?trope=Main.CardcaptorSakura discussion page]]. Even if it had been on video, it would have ended up in the exact same pose as the stil image. This is the original pic on which lots of fan art (mostly Deviant's) is based.
*** The fan resentment may be more due to the fact that the previous rendition of the series ''didn't'' leave the story based on assumption and ''did'' show Sakura and Syaoran's HappyEnding come full circle, in comparison to the second movie, which largely just regurgitated the same points from the final episode of the show itself (where Sakura has already implied to Syaoran that she loves him anyway), to the point you could watch just the latter and be left with no less satisfying a resolution.

*** There's no debunking it being official, however it can still just be a generic image made to promote the movie than representing the ending per se.
*** That pose can only come when you fall from a height and are pushed back with the momentum, I explained it just above (under spoilers). Physics is correctly followed in the series when you're not twisting space and time.
