I removed the Discontinuity section. Both examples had been edited in such a way to explain how they weren't really examples (because they would only be examples if one assumed that the character had knowledge the audience possessed but the character did not). If they’re not examples, they should be removed.

* Discontinuity:
** The Mayor worries that killing Buffy too soon would leave time for her replacement to appear. A few seasons later, it is established that this wouldn't have happened due to Buffy temporarily dying in Prophecy Girl, the Slayer line passed onto Kendra then Faith . But the Mayor doesn't know that.
** Faith's original plan to remove Angel's soul is to sleep with him. Angel: The Series establishes sex in and of itself doesn't necessarily lead to Angel experiencing perfect happiness it has to be with someone he truly loves, i.e. Buffy , so Faith's plan is flawed from inception. But Faith doesn't know that.

* NightmareFuel: The idea of a VillainTeamUp between Angelus and Faith. On the one hand we have whom everyone in both series fear, someone who's completely irredeemable. On the other, Faith is at the nadir of her sanity and lives and breathes Charles Manson's ideal of being the last one standing on a mountain of ashes. If the pair did work together no one would last long.

Yeah sure, those things turn out to be different later, but the characters have no reason to know better than the audience
