* SpiritualSuccessor: Can be seen as one to the 1980s martial arts classic, ''Shanghai 13''. Both are films with an AllStarCast with a plot revolving around bodyguards played by various big-name Hong Kong stars banding together to defend an important political figure from a never-ending legion of assassins that strikes from out of nowhere. Both films also runs on AnyoneCanDie, and CharactersDroppingLikeFlies in its final act. The only difference is the final battle's setting (''Shanghai 13'' mostly takes ppace at night).
