* HesJustHiding: There are some fans who like to believe that the main characters somehow survived going over the top, sometimes even considering the deleted ending where Blackadder is the SoleSurvivor to be {{Fanon}}. However, it's just as common (if not more so) for fans to actually invert the trope and claim that Blackadder and Baldrick were the last remaining members of their family -- George and Darling already being established as having some relatives still alive -- adding an extra element of tragedy in that their families were wiped out in this senseless war (and thereby consigning ''Blackadder Back & Forth'' to FanonDiscontinuity status).
