** Luna before 0.7 is one of the harder tracks that features a lot of track modulation and shallow turns throughout that frequently destabilize your craft (which leads to you flying off-track). To give you a hint even the starting grid is sloped hard sideways. It was [[UnwinnableByDesign nearly-unbeatable]] during Time Trial in Campaign mode as you'd have to mash the afterburner in order to get the bronze medal. This was fixed in 0.7, as you will receive a Turbo pickup at the start or after reaching a new lap, and 0.8 does away with it altogether for a new (and easier) layout -- although its still contains annoying parts such as unusually strict boost pads placement and a weird dipping curve that you have to take wide or risk bottoming out your craft.

You can't list Sugar Wiki examples on the YMMV page of a work. You can't alter trope names with potholing.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The game is filled with a nice collection of old-school 90s/early 2000s-esque electronic tracks. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPzFyUmm5xA&t=5078s Have a good listen]].
** "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPzFyUmm5xA&t=329s Turbocharged]]" also counts as this, specially with the "[[SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound HEY!]]" shout throughout the entire track. Also, this will remind you of "[[SuspiciouslySimilarSong Fuse Box]]" from a [[VideoGame/PAYDAY2 different video game]] regarding the electric guitar solo at the start.
** Do you really like 90s-early 2000s trance music and are looking for a similar one? Then, rejoice! "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPzFyUmm5xA&t=4209s Island Sun (Far Cry Mix)]]" is in the game's soundtrack!

* SugarWiki/BetterThanCanon: Widely regarded as a superior remake of the early ''VideoGame/WipEout'' games with modern features like online multiplayer, further bolstered by the game having official mod support for custom ships, tracks, and the like.

* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound:
** A carry-over from the ''[[VideoGame/{{Wipeout}} WipEout]]'' series.

* [[UnexpectedCharacter Unexpected Ship]]: Who would expect that the C.Y.G.O.N Tempest from ''GRIP: Combat Racing'' will make it into the game in the 1.1.5 update? Let alone people who never heard of ''GRIP''. This leaves people scratching their heads figuring out how this ship made it into the game.

** Some shortcuts/[[FanNickname skillcuts]] are less obvious than others. One such cut in Cassandra, for example, involves firing your afterburner and clipping ''though'' a building.
