* CriticalDissonance: The movie earned mixed reviews from critics (like all the Jackass movies), but audiences enjoyed it, as the film opened at #1 with $32.1 million, already more than doubling its $15 million budget.

* HilariousInHindsight: An interesting example, where a scene that was already funny becomes even funnier in hindsight. During one segment of the film, Irving enters Billy into a beauty pageant for girls, with Billy dressed in drag, and in an attempt to be unique and wow the judges, they come up with an incredibly inappropriate routine where Billy dances around the stage like a stripper - which only succeeds in freaking out the judges and the audience, despite Billy's own enjoyment of it, to the point where several mothers can be seen covering their daughters' eyes. Seven years later, "[[Film/{{Cuties}} Cuties]]" would have an incredibly similar climax where Amy and her friends reach the final round of a dance competition and try to impress the judges by performing dance moves that are way too mature for girls their ages (like twerking), disgusting pretty much everyone in the crowd - except the climax of "Cuties" is played for drama instead of laughs. That film stirred up quite a bit of controversy, and in the wake of it, many jokes were made that Billy and Irving were ahead of their time.
