This includes the Vestal Virgins and the great wolf bitch guardian spirit of Rome, acts so abominable that the Roman people rise up against them. Nero's praetorians kill so many citizens during this revolt that the sewers are soon filled with rivers of blood, while Locusta's baby-demon assassins kill the Senatorial ambassadors who come to request Nero's abdication and use their corpses to decorate trees in the imperial palace courtyard.
