* BrokenAesop: Some viewers believe that the episode's message about accepting change and loss was badly contradicted by things like the Anne being brought back after her HeroicSacrifice, the trio being able to return to Earth after the gems were destroyed, and the TimeSkip showing Marcy reuniting with Anne and Sasha after 10 years despite her own arc being about learning to accept being split from them.

Though, as Anne says in her ending monologue, sometimes the things you let go will come back to you. As for the other examples, Amphibia is a world of magic, where such events like death and being trapped in an alternate world could plausibly not be all-time.

* FanonDiscontinuity: Plenty of fans prefer to ignore the implication that Anne wasn't resurrected and instead replaced by a clone. Fortunately, the possibility that Anne was resurrected into a new body after her HeroicSacrifice isn't unlikely. There also a decent amount of fans who didn't like the finale in general and tend to favor alternatives where the Anne, Sasha, and Marcy actually stay trapped in Amphibia (believing it to be a more plausible ending that still keeps to the show's message, especially if The Guardian is taken out of the equation) or are able to travel between Earth and Amphibia at will without issue.

* CommonKnowledge: Unlike the TimeSkip shown on Earth, the one present in Amphibia did not take place within 10 years as well, but rather over the course of a few months.
* EsotericHappyEnding: The implication that the Anne we've spent the entire series with was actually KilledOffForReal and the Anne sent back to the world of the living is a clone. An exact replica, but a clone nonetheless. Anne noting she'll be experiencing existential dread later on in life is played off for dark laughs, but a good chunk of the fanbase was more unnerved than amused, believing that it's far too mean-spirited that the main protagonist, whose CharacterDevelopment into a noble young lady we've witnessed, won't find closure in Amphibia, return to Earth with Sasha and Marcy, and live a full and fulfilling life, but instead a simulcrum will. Thus, these fans and others prefer to believe the original Anne's soul and consciousness was placed into a new body, which is admittedly helped by the Guardian's vague choice of words that could lend credence to either interpretation.

** Many people claim that Anne was KilledOffForReal and replaced by a clone. Never mind the fact that this is only an implication; the GuardianOfTheMultiverse even noted that Anne could get resurrected into a new body, vague as it was.

* LikeYouWouldReallyDoIt: Although the Guardian says that Anne did die, and that he brought her back by copying her consciousness into a new body right before her death, did you really think that she would be killed off permanently?

* AngstAversion: For those who believe the theory that Anne was KilledOffForReal and instead replaced by a clone, this can be quite uneasy to process.
