David William Heath (born February 16, 1969) is an American {{Professional Wrestl|ing}}er from Fort Lauderdale, FL best known for his work in various independents in the 1990s as Vampire Warrior and in Wrestling/{{WWE}} from 1998-2001 as Gangrel. He debuted in 1988 in the Florida independent scene before going on to Stampede, [[Wrestling/HerbAbramsUWF Herb Abrams' UWF]], Wrestling/AllJapanProWrestling, the USWA, the Wrestling/NationalWrestlingAlliance and Wrestling/{{ECW}}. He made his [=PPV=] debut as Apocalypse of the Black Harts, teaming with Destruction (Tom Nash) in a victory over Fire Cat and Jim Cooper at ''UWF Beach Brawl'', June 9, 1991. He debuted in WWE on the August 16, 1998 ''[[{{BShow}} WWF Sunday Night Heat]]''. In October, he, Wrestling/{{Edge}} and Wrestling/{{Christian}} formed The Brood. They feuded with [[Wrestling/AlSnow the J.O.B. Squad]] before surprising a lot of people by joining Wrestling/TheUndertaker's Wrestling/MinistryOfDarkness. They later split from the Ministry, with Edge and Christian eventually going on to bigger and better things. Gangrel tried replacing them with [[Wrestling/MattHardy the]] [[Wrestling/JeffHardy Hardyz]] as The New Brood, but they broke away from him after defeating E&C in a ladder match at ''WWF No Mercy'' in October 1999 to win Wrestling/TerriRunnels' [[FunWithAcronyms Terri Invitational Tournament]]. Gangrel floundered in the midcard before being quietly released. He has regularly competed in the independents ever since. Among his in-ring achievements, he is a former [[http://www.wrestling-titles.com/us/tn/uswa/uswa-h.html USWA Heavyweight Champion]] and a 1x [[http://www.wrestling-titles.com/canada/ab/stampede/ab-int-t.html Stampede International Tag Team Champion]] as Apocalypse of the Black Harts with Destruction (Tom Nash).

Creepy Cool Crosses has been renamed to Creepy Crosses as per this TRS threadZero Context Examples and examples that don’t fit the trope will be removed. The trope is about crosses being used as a symbol of the occult.

* CreepyCoolCrosses: Wore one around his neck (or sometimes it was an ankh), and his entrances added these.

* InsistentTerminology: Inverted; commentators in the WWF never referred to him as a vampire. Instead, they said he lived a "Gothic lifestyle". And that goblet doesn't contain ''blood'', no it was ''viscious liquid''.

* ShoutOut: His name was taken from the wild vampire clan in ''TabletopGame/VampireTheMasquerade'', although some questioned why a Gangrel would become a professional wrestler (a [[BloodKnight Brujah]] on the other hand...). The WWF had to license the name from Creator/WhiteWolf.
