Also he is seen sheepishly exiting out and apologizing to the principal, probally because the latter wasn't thrilled by his "Bringing down the false idols" comment.
** While Linus did did lose some support over bring up the The Great Pumpkin in his last speech, at least he faired better than in the original comic strip storyline, as apparently no one wanted to elect someone who believes in such childish and ridiculous things like the Great Pumpkin, let alone as school president.
