The plot centers around Timmy suddenly becoming "The Chosen One" a entity known simply as "The Darkness" descends upon Earth looking for him. In order to beat it back Timmy must find three mystical wands (one in each movie) which are the only objects powerful enough to combat it. However he must contend against the Darkness's enforcers, The Eliminators, who are sent to find him. As the plots goes on, things turn out not so cut and dry as believed.

This isn\'t a Plot Hole. They simply don\'t use these characters.

* PlotHole: In the the second part of the movie, Timmy asks several of his enemies for assistance after he had been cut off from his friends and family. Strangely enough, he doesn't even consider going to Tootie and/or another of his friends like Sanjay and Elmer to help in defeating the Darkness. Possibly justified because he needed people to help him with fighting and space travel, and, while Tootie, Elmer and Sanjay may be able to fight, the enemies were definitely better candidates for that.

Wishology is a three hour, essentially a three part, WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents movie that aired in 2009. It may be the longest movie ever produced for the [[WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents Fairly Odd Parents]].

----

The movie contains examples of:

* AllThereInTheScript: In the early drafts of Wishology, the Eliminators were created by the Darkness from the rockets that the Turbo Thunder's people fired into it.
* AlmostKiss: This continually happens with Timmy and Trixie in the third part. First he mistakenly kissed Mark Chang, then Dad, followed by Jorgen.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: Timmy manages to gain the help of Crocker, Dark Laser, and Vicky by promising them, respectively, to let Crocker see his fairies, to let Dark Laser destroy him when the crisis is over, and to give Vicky twenty bucks.
* BigBad: In the first two parts, The Darkness appears to be this. However, in the third part the [[TheDragon The Lead Eliminator]] is revealed to be the actual villian.
* BigDamnMovie: As stated it may be one of the longest movies produced in FOP history.
* CallingTheOldManOut: In the final scenes of the third installment Timmy Turner does this to Turbo Thunder and Jorgen for [[spoiler: attacking the Darkness for looking scary and not because it did anything to them]]
* DarkIsNotEvil: Although the Darkness was frequently attacked because it looked [[spoiler: dark and scary, it was simply looking for friends, not trouble]]
* TheDragon: The Lead Eliminator in particular after he transformed [[spoiler:into the Destructinator]]
* GenreSavvy: Timmy who is often portrayed as an IdiotHero and a DesignatedHero actually is fairly competent in this movie. In the first part [[spoiler: he is completely cut off from his fairies with no access to magic and he has to find the first wand on his own]] In the second part, he is cut off, [[spoiler:from his fairies and hisfamily and friends, he swallows his pride and goes to several of his enemies for help.]] For example [[spoiler:Crocker may be insane but he, also, is probably the best one Timmy can turn to]]. He, also, [[spoiler: contacts Dark Laser because he knows that he has a spaceship]].
* HeroicSacrifice: Both Timmy and Jorgen. In the first part of the trilogy, Jorgen [[spoiler: magically transforms himself into Timmy to protect the boy from the Darkness]] and at the end of the second part [[spoiler: Timmy sacrifices himself to protect everyone, including his sworn enemies for help]]
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: The Destructinator at the end of part three.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia
* TheMenInBlack: The Military Extra-terrestrial Research facility.
* NowOrNeverKiss: Between Timmy and Trixie in the last scene of the second part.
* OhCrap: The look on the Destructinator's face when Timmy in the final scenes says in response to the Destructinator's quesion if he had any last words; Timmy says [[spoiler: "Yeah, when I crashed into you in space, I sorta stole your detanator]]; the look on that giant robot's face is priceless!
* PowerOfRock: In Part 1, [[spoiler:with an awesome guest appearance of KISS!]]
* TheStarsAreGoingOut: Mostly the first part's final scene, [[spoiler:when one Fairy Warrior is swallowed with all the others by the Darkness, causing this trope to happen.]]
* SeriesFauxnale: Because the movie was so unusually long and epic and there were so many changes between the original scripts and the finished product, several fans thought this was going to be the series finale. The most significant script change had Timmy's secret revealed and no ResetButton much like the WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom finale. However, it should be pointed out that all of the The [[WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents Fairly Odd Parents]] movies have a finale feel to them.
* ShoutOut: There are several. In fact, the first part of the trilogy contains a number of them ranging from Film/TheMatrix, LordOfTheRings and HarryPotter. In fact, Timmy LampShades this in the second part when they're in a StarWars style cantina, by saying, "This seems weirdly familiar" and later on stating "Okay, now I ''know'' I've seen this somewhere before. ** And let's not forget the DoctorWho reference [[spoiler: The stars are going out]]
* StatusQuoIsGod: As per usual with many of Butch Hartman's works.
* TwoPartTrilogy: Make that ''three''.
* WhatTheHellHero: In combination with the example of CallingTheOldManOut, Timmy does this to Turbo Thunder and Jorgen over the way they reacted to the Darkness.
