Set in the Old West in Canasta Falls, Yosemite Sam arrives at The Fat Chance Saloon (where most of the customers are chugging beers and playing poker) and declares that he's 'the rootinest, tooinest, shotinest bobtail wildcat in the west', only to be cut off by Bugs. Taking offense to this, Sam challenges him to a gunfight, where the rabbit shows his own skill with a shooting iron. The duel is cut short when the 5:15 departs, which Sam goes after to rob. Much to his chagrin, however, Bugs also appears to ''save'' the train from Sam. After a few failed attempts to blast Bugs (due to taking too long with his countdown), Sam decides to settle this with a game of chicken involving trains.
