* YourWorstNightmare: In "Bridget the Brave", Bridget accidentally casts a fearsome spell on herself, causing everyone else to see her as what they fear the most.

** Cosmina and Narcisa express their dislike of humans in "Scare B&B", forcing the Hauntlys to try to keep them and the Peeplesons separate so Oxana's Scare B&B would go smoothly. This disappears later on, where they don't mind interacting with Poppy and Bridget.

* BunnyEarsLawyer: Dr. Dolores Millweed from "Haunted House Call" follows this. When we first see her, she gives the Hauntley family lollipops even though they're not patients. When she first sees Demi trapped in the tv, she immediately says that this is his diagnosis. However, she's still a great doctor with how she's able to connect the dots on how he became sick, mainly with the family inadvertently ignoring him and how ghosts' health is tied to their emotions.

* NiceMeanAndIn-Between: Bridget is a sensitive girl and loves animals, Edgar can be quite foolish, Poppy can be sassy and Vee is stays between both.

* AbsenteeActor: Of all the main characters, Vee is the only one to appear in both segments of every single episode.

''Vampirina'' is a Disney Junior show based on the ''Vampirina Ballerina'' children's books (the name is shortened to just ''Vampirina'' [[ScrewedByTheLawyers for]] [[WesternAnimation/AngelinaBallerina obvious reasons]]) which premiered on October 1, 2017. Developed by ''WesternAnimation/DocMcStuffins'' creator Chris Nee, the show is about a young vampire girl named Vampirina Hauntley (nicknamed Vee) as she and her family move from Transylvania to Pennsylvania to open a bed and breakfast for visiting ghouls and goblins. Along the way, Vee navigates her way through the human world with help from her family and friends, all while keeping her monster identity a secret while trying to fit in with human culture.

* FantasticRacism: Cosmina and Narcisa express their dislike of humans in "Scare B&B", forcing the Hauntlys to try to keep them and the Peeplesons separate so Oxana's Scare B&B would go smoothly. Poltergeist Pat may feel the same way since he looks down on Vee for living among humans in "Home Scream Home".

While both tend to be rather blunt in giving fortunes that may not be what someone wants to hear, Esmeralda is all about building a sense of camaraderie and support with others. The crystal ball, while not mean, is all about giving the blunt truth and nothing else, not really considering how others feel.
* FreakOut: The Hauntleys get a case of the "battys" when nervous or frightened, causing them to change into bats and back nonstop.

* {{Foil}}: Poppy and Bridget both act as foils to each other as Vee's friends. While both are doggedly nice girls, the former is confident, genre savvy, and slightly insensitive when trying to help out while the latter is more introverted and scared, yet still empathic, often acting as Vee's conscience.

* ForgottenAnniversary: Subverted in "Vampi-versary" . Vee ''thinks'' her parents forgot their anniversary as she tries recreating their first date. In actuality, they did remember and were trying to get each other a gift.

* ThreeAmigos: Vee, Poppy and Bridget.

* AbsenteeActor: Of all the main characters, Vee is the only one to appear in every single episode.

* NobodyHereButUsStatues: In "Oldie But a Ghoulie," Vampirina in her bat form pretends to be a collectible bat knick-knack in order to hide from the collector who has bought Gregoria. It works, but then a bit afterwards when she moves and talks, she gets caught.

* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: None of the residents of Pennsylvania seem to think it's strange that the Hauntleys all have blue skin, pointy ears and fangs.

* SecretIdentity: Outside of Poppy and Bridget, Vee and her parents try to keep their vampire identities a secret from other humans because Boris states humans can be "jumpy" around monsters and she doesn't want to scare them.
