By the time Ch'rell faces the Turtles in his first rematch, he had been frozen on an ice asteroid for a very long time, since the end of the third season, whereas the Turtles had only gotten stronger in countless more battles fighting against the Demon Shredder, level-grinding their way through the future and cyber-space, and various other adventures that improved their skills. The inevitable result of this was that the Utrom Shredder was defeated very swiftly, despite some of the hype the 2003 Turtles gave him as a warning to their '87 counterparts.
