''Shnookums and Meat'', created by Bill Kopp (of WesternAnimation/EekTheCat fame) for Creator/WaltDisneyTelevisionAnimation, debuted in 1993 as a segment Disney's ''WesternAnimation/{{Marsupilami}}'' cartoon on Creator/{{CBS}}, before becoming its own half-hour series in 1995. Each episode was composed of three segments:

* MushroomSamba: "Cabin Fever". When Shnookums develops MeatOVision on Meat, the two finally find food in the form of cocktail weenies (that expired in 1952). Meat suggests they might be unsafe to eat, though they consume them anyway. That's where this trope is taken to NightmareFuel levels.

* ExecutiveMeddling: According to Bill Kopp, Snookums and Meat didn't have Snookums and Meat to begin with. It originally focused only on Tex Tinstar and Pith Possum. Due to a certain cat and dog show that was popular, Snookums and Meat were created on the last minute due to a last minute change in the pitch room because one of the higher ups wanted Nick's money.
* TheFaceless: Schnookums and Meat's owners.

* HotAsHell: In one episode, Schnookums and Meat arrive at the pearly gate and are told they've been so naughty they're going to go to hell, unless they can do one good deed. They pull it off, and immediately discover that Hell is full of ''really sexy'' devil girls. [[spoiler:They dive into Hell, and it turns out that the sexy devil girls were wearing costumes, and actually look like a couple of really ugly blind dates Schookums and Meat mistreated in the past.]]

* MusclesAreMeaningless: Averted first but then played straight in the aforementioned episode "Weight For Me". HilarityEnsues as the titular duo flex so much that they break a mirror, struggle with their severely impaired mobility and Schnookums ends up crushing one of the protein cans, until he hits on the idea to get in the sauna and shrink down just enough that the two can move again. The door ends up getting jammed by a simple mop, which neither of the still-titanic gods can unbar and promptly lose their godly physiques.

The end result lasted one thirteen episode season on TheDisneyAfternoon, where it seemed even more out-of-place than ''WesternAnimation/{{Gargoyles}}'', and eventually rerun on Creator/ToonDisney before fading into obscurity. Only two comics were made out of it in ''Magazine/DisneyAdventures'' magazine.
