* AnAesop: Change is inevitable and part of life. Not ''all'' change is a good change, but trying to live in the past will cause you to miss out on many great things in the life that truly matter. Rocko wants his favourite cartoon "The Fatheads" revived, then reacts with outrage when it introduces a new character. He has to come to terms with the fact that even though things are different, by looking closely enough they can see the improvements; the changes in "The Fatheads" come from allowing the original creator to helm the story rather than from executive meddling.

%%* The special hinges on Rocko and Ed Bighead learning to accept changes in the status quo. One plot point is the Chameleon Brothers {{reviv|al}}ing ''[[ShowWithinAShow the Fatheads]]'' as an AllCGICartoon. Rocko, however, believes OnlyTheCreatorDoesItRight, and sets off to find Ralph Bighead (now Rachel Bighead). For this instance, Rocko's stance against change is justified, and the 3D take on ''The Fatheads'' is rejected in favor of Rachel's more traditional take, which becomes much more successful.
