* AdaptationDistillation: This version of the Secret Warriors seems to resemble the 2017 relaunch more closely than its original run (with Quake, Ms. Marvel, and Inferno as members), but it still seems to lack the main unifying factors of both -- ComicBook/SHIELD for the former, and Inhuman lineage for the latter. Most of the members on the team aren't affiliated with either, or the Secret Warriors legacy itself.

* AscendedExtra: Exile, also mixing in with AdaptationalHeroism. The original comic Exile was a drunk who got his name when Queen Medusa banished him from ever setting foot in New Attalan after murdering his father in a mistaken drunken rage (he had thought he was a baseline human and not an Inhuman until he gained enough exposure to the mists). He would later gain a hold of one of the Mandarin's Rings and ended up dying in combat against Tony Stark's brother Arno. Here, he's portrayed as a hero and is most likely not having the same problems as his comic counterpart.

Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors, or simply Secret Warriors, is a 2018 animated television film based (loosely) on the Creator/MarvelComics team of the same name -- specifically their 2017 iteration.

Preceded by four digital shorts, it is the first entry of the cross-platform Marvel Rising franchise aimed at young girls, headed by writer Mairghread Scott.

When an unexpected threat hits the MarvelUniverse, a group of untrained teenagers are forced to work together and prove their worth as heroes.

Among them are ComicBook/Quake (Creator/ChloeBennet), Ms. Marvel (Kathreen Khavari) and her teleporting bulldog Lockjaw (Dee Bradley Baker), ComicBook/SquirrelGirl (Creator/MilanaVayntrub) and her best friend Tippy-Toe (also Baker), Ghost-Spider (Creator/DoveCameron), Inferno (Creator/TylerPosey), ComicBook/AmericaChavez (Cierra Ramirez), Patriot (Kamil [=McFadden=]), and Exile ([=BooBoo Stewart=]).

Other characters include Captain Marvel (Creator/KimRaver) and villainous Kree Accuser Hala (Creator/MingNaWen).

----
!! Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors contains examples of the following tropes:
* AdaptationDistillation: This version of the Secret Warriors seems to resemble the 2017 relaunch more closely than its original run (with Quake, Ms. Marvel, and Inferno as members), but it still seems to lack the main unifying factors of both -- ComicBook/SHIELD for the former, and Inhuman lineage for the latter. Most of the members on the team aren't affiliated with either, or the Secret Warriors legacy itself.
* AdaptationNameChange: Spider-Gwen, who calls herself Ghost-Spider here.
* AgeLift: All of the main characters on the team are roughly the same age, which means some of them (e.g. Quake, America) are younger than other versions of themselves.
* AlternateCompanyEquivalent: Comparisons have been drawn between this and the distinguished competition's WebAnimation/DCSuperHeroGirls, which is another cross-platform, female-driven superhero franchise aimed at young girls.
* BigBad: Hala, a Kree Accuser.
* RoleReprisal: A few notable examples. On the live-action side, Chloe Bennet and Milana Vayntrub reprise their roles as Quake and Squirrel Girl from Series/AgentsOfSHIELD and Series/NewWarriors. Kathreen Khavari and Dove Cameron, who previously voiced Ms. Marvel and Spider-Gwen on WesternAnimation/AvengersAssemble and WesternAnimation/UltimateSpiderMan, respectively) also return as those characters here.
** Interestingly averted by Ming-Na Wen, however, who portrays Melinda May on S.H.I.E.L.D.
